Default Deleting inlets - 05-21-2020, 07:37 PM

I see guys everywhere running with nothing on their turbo intakes. Everything from Hondas to Lambos. Anyone run their n54 with nothing?

Maybe just a turbo guard to prevent big objects from entering.

Reason for the question is I have a misfire race intake. I can't use factory location inlets with it. I'm considering cutting my intake tubes. The front to end in front of the motor right behind the fan and the rear behind the motor near the starter. Obviously there's no room either location for a filter. I'm thinking a turbo screen would be pretty safe both locations.

Any oppinions?

Wonder if something like this would allow enough air flow?

I was not able to open that link.

What about the hotside inlet relocation kit?

I would go by where you drive it & how often.
Any sandy or even dusty roads ? ever get caught in a downpour?
I think Your engineering brain could come up with something of a filter.
I don't trust the stupid chicken wire "filters."
