Default Engine Misfire - 04-13-2021, 12:48 PM

2008 535xi wagon the car idles rough.
Saw a #5 cyl and #3cyl misfire with my BTechnics program. Installed new coils, (car has 100k mi and no service history figured they were due). Still have #5 misfire, swapped coils and plugs with another cyl, #5 still has misfire. This is at idle didn't even need to take it for a drive.
What would be the next step to trouble shoot this issue?

Thanks
Chuck

When the plugs came out they all looked dry. The plugs all looked like the mixture was good. nothing black and ugly

Did you let the car sit before removing plugs ?

the car had been sitting awhile before I pulled the plugs when doing the fuel pump and intake cleaning.

Did you smell the plugs for fuel when removing ?
Other thing that comes to mind is injector bore. See if they are ovaled out ? Are decouplers installed on all injectors ?
I know you traded plugs from other cyl, but how many miles on plugs ? What plugs ?

I did not smell plugs when taking them out, wasn't thinking about bad injectors at that time. Plugs had been in for 8 mo ( 6k mi). Bosch ZGR-6-STE2 Not sure what I am looking for on the injector bore. Looking at the tip of the injectors I traded the tips didn't show any abnormalities. I wiped them off with carb cleaner to see if there was something at the tip I assume there is a piece that opens for the injector to spray fuel.
What are the decouplers?

This my first time screwing with the fuel injection. Pretty steep learning curve.

The car had set for about 5hr before I swapped the injectors, there didn't seem to be any pressure in the fuel rail, would that mean I have a leaky injector?
Thanks
