Nizpro tranny update for N54 -
03-29-2016, 04:25 PM
So given the 6HP26 standard load rating of 600 nm and the times we are seeing being achieved with them this translates to an upgraded 21 trans in your 3400 lbs 135 running a mid nine at 145 plus mph and still achieving reasonable life expectancy, still no where close to 100,000. Only long real world testing will tell us a real number.
Our HP21 transmission also comes with a billet input shaft along with a billet intermediate shaft and Intermediate drum as in the attachment. Complete new High energy friction and all machining nessasary. We also are very close to having full calibration available for the transmission with prototype hard ware and software now completed.
We will have a number of transmission being drag tested in the upcoming next two months.
Looks like by the summer all N54 will have a tranny upgrade plus TCM.
Only problem they are in Australia for shipping to the USA.

I was wondering how you incorporated a filter into your sump pans for the hp26. And could you make the same pan for the hp19/21?

That's cheap. What do you expect it to cost? It's a full transmission rebuild including all the labour, upgraded parts and new control hardware and software LOL.

Not cheap when you can do a swap for 1/2 that. if it were closer to 4k it would stand the chance of becoming popular

From Nizpro:
Transmission cost comprise of a fully upgraded transmission including billet input and intermediate shafts along with billet intermediate drum, all new and extra frictions plates, these plates have been custom made for us as there are simply are no manufactures in the world that have off the shelf upgrades plates available for the HP 19/21. In US dollars are current exchange rates you are looking at $6150.00 dollars plus freight. This price does not include the torque convertor, we would be recommending leaving the standard convertor unless it was faulty, which is very unusual.

Exactly there are parts that are not needed, I don't get it companies throw themselves back thinking we'll pay instead appealing to the masses and getting more customers by making something like this somewhat affordable.
It's like when the first few ST rolled off the shelf yes expensive now everyone has a kit and the prices have come down a bit.
As company i think I would want to make money off of everyone not just a few.

He needs to understand these cars are in the hands of younger crowd now, not saying they can't afford it but usually going to school or recently married etc.....
4,500 plus shipping would be nice but as you see he made no mistake...lol

Yeah, the price is not cheap but if it is truly a bullet proof option it would be well worth it!

Absolutely. If it was built strong enough already, replacing hard parts such as these shafts are a waste.
However as soon as someone manages to break one, then it may be proven to be a weak point and need it. (patiently waiting someone to make more power and hard launch on some D05 slicks.)
