Default Is MHD the only option for flashing JB4 Backend Maps? - 01-07-2021, 01:35 PM

Are there any other software/interface options besides MHD for flashing the JB4 backend maps? It's for a 135i N55 12/2011 build date. Yes, this is because I don't want to spend $250 to use it once.

You can run any flash but we'd recommend the BMS BEF via MHD. It's not really a matter of how many times you flash it but the ability to flash it.

There used to be an option for a bimmerboost flash but you'd need to buy the cable to do so, set up your laptop, etc. and frankly I'd recommend sticking with the MHD, it's much easier, faster, and more user friendly.

JB4 doesn't care how you flash it, but MHD is the best value out there and has built in some features we've asked for that make everything easier. So that is what we suggest.

Can anyone explain the difference between the MHD BEF tunes and flashing a MHD stage 2+ tune? I've seen a lot of feedback on forums and such that everyone claims the MHD flashed tunes alone are smoother then running the JB4 with BEF. I'm just wondering why?
Also, would it make sense to flash a MHD Stage 2+ OTS tune and then run the JB4 in Map 0 or Map 1?
