hey guys, my JB4 is acting a little strange after installing the motiv flexfuel kit + MHD flexfuel flash (v8 stage 2+)

what happens is that when I enable the JB4 (i.e. set it to something other than map 0) after using the MHD app for monitoring my turn signals light up solid on the dash. This is the only way I have found to make this happen (MHD monitoring). They still work on the outside of the car I just have no blinking light and no clicking noise. When this is happening the needles will sweep (like they do on startup) every minute or so. This continues regardless of the jb4 being in map 0 or not

I was playing with it today and if I leave the jb4 set in map 1+ and read codes with MHD it will auto-switch to map 0 and the blinkers will shut off but they will come back on if I re-enable the JB4 right away


anyone know what's going on? I am on the latest jb4 fw (g5 32_12_t10)

Are you running MHD Stage 2+ Map Full Flash and JB4? If so Why? If you are trying to run JB4 with Full Flash I think you need to unplug (bypass) one of the one of the harnesses. I forget which one it is but if you search you'll be able to find it.

yup, I was running (reliably) this way before the FF module was installed and I flashed to v8. Right now the BMS backend flashes do not support flex fuel so I cant run those

apart from the blinkers causing trouble in this one specific scenario the car works perfect, pulls harder than it ever has

Figured out today that if I deselect the new pids in mhd monitoring (ethanol content, interpolations) and then monitor again this doesn't happen. I've been dealing with embedded systems enough to recognize a buffer overflow... If anyone from BMS wants to pm me I would be happy to send you some CAN packets with the new data pids so that you can get the jb4 parsing them correctly
