Default EWG N55 Speedtech BW EFR 8374 going for 600WHP+ - 05-25-2020, 12:49 PM

I got my Speedtech kit since Jan 2018 but due lack of time and finance I couldnít get my kit installed until last March. My goal in mind is relatively modest is to make 600-620 WHP max (For safety reason) since Iím not planning on building the engine although I know with supporting mods this turbo is capable of much more.

Here some pictures of the turbo kit installation at a local shop:






Installation went very smoothly it took the shop 3 comfortable days to complete. However, there was a minor issue my turbo came with a broken BOV cover so the shop sent BOV cover to another shop to have an aluminum valve built. My recommendation for anyone considering the EFR turbo is to go ahead and order aftermarket aluminum BOV Billet cover to replace the weak stock plastic cover.


I decided to take things slowly and see what I can push the car with the current mods that I already have:
- Bootmod3 Stage 2H 93 OTS as backend flash.
- JB4.
- xHP flash.
- BMS Meth kit.
- ER Intercooler and Chargepipe.


Here are my dyno results, Iím still using completely stock fuel system (HPFP/LPFP) and stock intake/air filter/exhaust using 98 RON (93 AKI) and 100% Meth injection via chargepipe.


And here the dyno results compare to my stock turbo .. all done on the same dyno.



My 100-200 and 100-290 draggy result:




So far, Iím very happy with the results with such basic and simple setup but itís not quite close to my goal in mind. This is as max as you can push it with stock fuel system, I tried to use very small mixture of ethanol/ race gas but even with such small mixture the stock fuel pump canít keep up and it kept crashing. I already ordered Stage 2 HPFP Upgrade from Dorch Engineering waiting for it to arrive to push the car further. As my stock HPFP even for the current setup started to give me troubles .. can't push more than 17 PSI.

Special thanks to Terry@BMS for helping me with JB4 stuff and Jeff@Speedtech for the great turbo kit!

What I love about the current setup is on daily Iím using JB4 Map 0 (OTS flash tune only) which give me 450WHP+ perfect for daily use and on demand with few clicks I can switch the car to Map 3 ready for racing.
Iíll keep you updated once I get my Dorch Stage 2 HPFP and dyno the car with full VP109 race gas.

I just got my stage 2 Dorch pump today :D






I'll get it installed soon, so expect my new result soon

Installation went smoothly, the car started right away from the first crank!







Here is a quick 100-200 test on 93 fuel only NO meth - (JB4 +3 additive map 6) 20 PSI peak boost

Next week I'll finally test it with full race gas 109 and ethanol mixture as well.

Here a new record for me using around E40 mixture fuel and 100% Meth injection.
Weather temperature was around 35įC / 95įF

Next week I'll Dyno the car ... hopefully an easy 600WHP++

So I dynoed my car today with full race gas Renegade 109.. I usually use VP MS109 but I couldn't find any available..

Anyway here is my result: ..



My best 93 run with stock HPFP vs my best 109 run with Dorch Stage 2 HPFP



Note this is still on bootmod3 off the shelf (OTS) tune + JB4 for meth control.

I'm happy that I broke into the 600WHP.. but the car definitely can by pushed way more with a proper custom tune.

But I'm going to enjoy it for this power level for a while before I jump to a custom tuning .. as I'm not trying to actually push it more than that. I'm just looking to refine it and for safety reasons..

So I did a couple of 100-200 KM/H Dragy runs to measure performance .. and to my surprise a little bit disappointing results.

With E40 I was getting constant 6 sec flat with less boost and the weather was slightly warmer.
With the full Renegade RM 109 my best was 6.12 sec with higher boost..

Full 109 vs full E40



That's almost pump gas performance! ... not sure what is the issue.
Is Ethanol that good? or maybe Renegade 109 is not that good compare to other 109 fuel race?
I mean I know E85>109 but full 109 should better than E40

In the logs it show there are timing correction with 109.. E40 much better timing.

I guess I need another test with VP MS109 to see if I should stick with Ethanol as racing fuel.

I have a alot similar setup, the only diference is that i am using a PI controled by a fueltech.
Same ecu tuning, same 600hp, same time, same boost ��

Nice! just woundering if you have issue with boost dropping on 6 gear due the EGS register a slipping clutch?
Right now up to 24-25 PSI I have no issue, but anything above 80% of the times boost momentarily drop on 6 gear.
I wish there was a way to limit boost on 6 gear with JB4 that would fix my issue.
