Has anyone else experienced pinging on the 2.0T engine in either a G70 or Veloster N? The car is bone stock, but pings every now and again at around 2000-2300 RPM and moderate load on the accelerator when going up hill. Car will ping anywhere between 1 and 4 times successively and then it feels like it pulls timing or boost. I only run 93 or occasionally 91 if that's all that's there for premium. Only 11k miles on the car. Dealer has so far been "Unable to replicate". Should I be looking at colder plugs?

Not yet, but I'd like to. I have not pulled the trigger on a JB4 or other tuner yet - at this point with it pinging at stock levels, I am hesitant to. Any recommended tools for datalogging through the OB2 port?

Have you checked your oil between oil changes? If so , has been been consuming any?

I check oil every couple thousand miles, little to no consumption over the 6k mile interval.

Mobil, Sunoco, EXXON, sometimes KwikFill. Usually try to stick to Top Tier
