Default M235i - Low power - Map2 - 03-04-2017, 04:11 AM

Hi,

I am new to BMWs and drive a M235i with the following mods:
**
Intake
JB4 (no EWG wire)
95oct

I did dyno the car with just ** and intake and the readings were 213kw and 420nm, after JB4 on Map 2 on the same dyno it makes 225kw and 450nm.

Please can you assist with reading my log and helping understand what the problem is.

Hi divian are you from south Africa?
Your intake Temps are getting up there .You will probably need a upgraded intercooler or meth.
You will need to up your octane for that map aswell.

Hi Hubbly,

Thanks for the feedback.

Why don't you add nf ,give it time to adapt and relog. The fuel quality in SA sucks so rather stick to map 1 or map5 with 95(91oct).

Map 2 on our sh*tty South African fuel is not going to work as proven by your elevated AVG_IGN values. Our 95RON is equivalent to US 91.

I'd suggest getting the EWG harness, leaving it on Map 5 and adding NF if need be.

awaiting delivery on the EWG wires.

Switched to Map 1, car feels the same as Map 2 if not better.

i think maybe add some ethanol, I would say start with 15% by volume and work you way up. The stock fuel system will be ok with low volumes of eth. I am personally not a big fan of NF.

Not a very good log. Looks like you hit a bump in the middle of the log causing you to pull timing. Try another log and lower your FOL to 40.
