At one point, George or Terry mentioned that this may be interference related, so I started moving it around a bit with good success.

Can you share your installation position? Do you have a photo?

^This

When it works properly, it’s damn nice. When it doesn’t, it’s usually right after I’ve been given a point by from somebody ive been chasing down for 3 laps and is faster than me in the turns but not on the straight, and then suddenly faster on the straight :-(

I've moved the box around myself. I re-routed the wires back around the air box and under the intake pipe to avoid the ECU harness. I didn't notice any improvement.

I think I might just wrap the box and wire harness with foil tape just to see if that does anything. lol

I've had the JB4 since Dec last year. I still remember the very first pull and it cut boost on me.

We made a minor revision to the v2.2 boards vs the v2.1 and v1 boards, waiting to see if it has a positive effect on this specific issue. We sell maybe 10x as many of the same system for B9 S4 and we've never had a report of it from them. =/

It's still happening randomly with me (uk) too

Mainly on the motorway, foot down to overtake and...... nothing, then try again and it flies.

Can't understand why it's happening.

RS3............In the UK

Is it still the same hardware between the RS3/TTRS and B9 S4 JB4 units? Just different software loaded on it at time of purchase?

Got it. Map0 log so I can see what flash only is producing in comparison? I think we need to raise the WGDC up top here to get boost up.

Hello all. I’ve been following this thread for a while hoping the boost issue would get resolved since the JB4 is the route I would like to take.

Since it seems that this problem may be related to some kind of interference, has anyone with this issue tried using the aluminum enclosure to see if it offers any benefit?

You can see in the screenshot of map6 that FF, PID, and duty bias have a fairly high value, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. Map0 map6 gets the same boost.

Does jb4 have any safety feature built in to prevent heavy boost while lugging the engine in manual mode or otherwise? I know in auto the car will auto downshift to prevent damage.

As someone who only a few weeks ago was in a similar position as you, wondering when/if it'd be resolved, I just decided to go for it. I'm under warranty so it's this or nothing for me and I wanted to just get going. It's happened to me a random handful of times, pretty much the moment I installed it. Not frequent, but you know the moment it happens because the familiar torque response isn't there. It turns into a Honda civic lol. With that being said, it's always remedied for me by just letting off the throttle a bit and punching it again. If I could get a refund, I wouldn't take it. It's pretty great so far and I think it's totally worth it to use while they figure it out. Hope this helps

Trust me, we're working day and night for this little inconvenience. As you said, even with that little hiccup, the JB4 is still worth the fun!

I have a question though. Let's say you do solve it, and it turns out its a hardware issue. Will you be swapping everyone's hardware out for free? I hope so because it would suck to have a $700+ item that is permanently defective. I don't mind using it for now, like you said, but obviously everyone does want this resolved. (I know you know this, its not to throw jabs at you)
