It doesn't do coding for that. It can clear the fault when it appears though.

Oh coming from a 335i, I’m used to the jb4 hiding the code. So are people running map 3/4 on 93 completely stock? And then 6psi over stock as well (but E85 or race gas)?

For E30 or race gas we recommend 4 or 5 or a custom map 6.

The JB4 auto code clear was disabled years ago due to government mandates. Either BMS disables the feature or goes out of business. The only way to keep that enabled was to never update your firmware.

It's available outside the USA, passive delete on the WMI page. Inside the USA blocked for emissions compliance.

What do you do when you accidentally erase your firmware?

@Bullitt
Do you have CustomCode Flash and using JB4 for logging purposes? I think that's the route I want to take as well.

Any news on the next firmware release? I had the mysterious “zero boost” issue appear again the other day while I was trying to merge into traffic, which caused an “oh crap” moment...

Thanks!

Been working on a couple things but sorting out and resolving the no boost issue is certainly on the top of our to-figure out list.

No. I have APR. It's good and bad. Good tune and very fast on E85. But sucks that you can't tweak much yourself and their mobile app is pathetic.

I had it happen to me the other day. The car went into went into NA mk5 Golf 2.5L mode. lol
This time it was a little different. I was on map5 and the JB4 kicked me into map8. I looked at the log and it was running surprisingly lean.

Yes that is a feature not a bug, the JB4 will revert to low boost map IF it detects an issue with the tuning like over boost or running lean. In that case you'd want to log a similar situation and evaluate why the safety was triggered.

Some great numbers on this JB4 Audi RS3 running a E30 fuel mix and no hardware mods. Gains of 67whp and 115nm/85ft lb. Map 6 was used with a 6psi peak add.

I’ve had the no boost 2 or 3 times in the past few months, it seems to happen when I’m merging from an on ramp. Map 1 usually.

Got it... Normally full throttle? Half throttle?

Running 1/2 throttle on the ramp then going to full throttle to merge, no boost at that time.
