It looks like MAP 2 had some decent gains. In the end did you have to raise the boost safety to 20? Did it make a difference in max tq or max hp?
Conclusion based on testing at drag strip and dyno, 93 offers minimal gains on map1/2 maybe if you have a competent tuner or near Terry who can tune the best with JB4 most likely will be done on Map6. Otherwise, the gains were good with E85 blend. The other problem is, lack of X4 M40i guys testing or providing logs so not much Terry can do with only 1 car at this moment on the other coast of the states.

Any update on f87 jb4? Have had it for a a bit now, sent Terry a few logs, on map 1 and map 6 with 3.3 gallons of e85 and still getting an off idle. Anyone else suffering off idle on their M2??

Do you have an I take with the m2? If you do then it's probably that causing the rough idle as MAF based vehicles are particularly sensitive to new intakes. If you have the latest jb4 soft ware you may run maf-less, contact Terry for further instructions.

If you don't have an intake and are experiencing rough idles post a log in the support section along with user adjustment page, and ensure all connections are ok.

Can you simply remove the MAF wires and pins from the AMP connector to clean up the harness? Going to install FF wires; no need for the MAF with latest firmware right?

If you have an old harness that still has the purple connector you can just cut if off to clean up the harness if you want.

Hi Terry

Just trying my luck again.
Any chance the eco map (8) and oil temp indication is near inclusion like on the N54.

No. EWG is for Electronic Wastegate cars only, not Pneumatic like yours.

Sorry if this has been answered before, but does the F-series N55 JB4 offer shift indicator capabilities in the instrument cluster (flashing indicator lights)? Can't find it anywhere.

No shift light for the F series, yet.

Terry and team , please give us an oil temp warm indication and and eco/ low boost map, even if Map 6 could be modified for lower boost.
Praying and hoping

Just went FBO and tune last night (f30 335i). However my JB4 Bluetooth connect kit doesn't seem to work? it says " No BLE found" I've tried tapping into another red wire in the wire loom as well as plugging and unplugging the connection inside the jb4 box. Hoping i don't have to run the OBD inside the car as i heard its a pain in the F30 6 speed.

Any suggestions?

OBDII is required for the JB4 to work properly and is easy to do.

For support on the JB4 Mobile adapter refer to this thread: http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21742

Terry, sorry if this has been answered before, but from what I understand the JB4 is still being actively developed for both the N54 and N55 platforms.

Are you at liberty to share any details of what you guys are doing in terms of development? Is it mostly fixes for encountered problems or are we talking new features? If it's the latter, could you disclose more information?

Not that I'm in any way dissatisfied with what the JB4's currently offering, but I would love to see something like:
- Eco map
- Speed limiter removal (probably requires a flash )
- Cluster shift indicator

I was late to the JB4 party, so I have no idea if any of these have been discussed at all.

Thanks!

From time to time we'll discuss active development items but generally I try to avoid it for several reasons. The least of which it's a competitive business and we don't want to tip off competitors and copy-cats of new features we're working on. I'm always open to listening to ideas though.

Noted! Yeah, it's a seriously competitive business. Thanks, looking forward to whatever you guys are doing

Sell your N55 and buy something with a B58 in it if you want further development. Terry has a major hard-on for the new 6cyl turbo
