Default Thump in my seat, when coming to a stop in neutral - 07-15-2019, 10:19 AM

My car is automatic, RWD.
When I come to a stop in Drive, there is no 'thump' feeling.

However, when cruising to a stop, if I put the A/T in neutral, just at the moment the car comes to a stop, there is a definitive 'thump' which can be felt in the car seat (transferred via chassis, but from what?)

I've felt this for a number of months and don't really recall if it has been a year or not. (I don't generally put it in neutral when coasting to a stop)

My imagination suggests a drive shaft or such.
When I put it in drive, there is no similar feeling of engagement, it just drives 'normally'.
This is the only time I can reproduce the thump. If I come to a stop and put it in neutral or even reverse, I do not feel this.

Replacement A/T was installed a little over a year ago. It was done by a highly credible indy (well recognized by the local dealers). That said, it may still be related to the A/T?

Thanks for the thoughts. I respect it can't be diagnosed remotely with any certainty. I will be bringing it in, but waiting as I wish to have some other areas checked at the same time.

Beast, Vor, are you both running A/T?

If you are, and neither have anything similar, I'll get it in this week regardless of other pending work. (it certainly feels right below the middle of the car, now that I'm talking about it, I'm getting nervous, even though it's been months)
