With a jb4 on, it's the jb4 that target boost, not the flash.

I suppose your 99oct is something lke Shell VPower in Europe, so in fact 99ron. Stage 2+ for 93 oct (98ron) is around 420hp crank.

I've tried the stage 2+ for 98ron (with (98RON gas in Europe) and it seems too aggressive for my car, I get too many timing corrections. Lowered it to stage 2. I have access to 102RON but need to drive almost 40km for it (which I do )

Default 2008 335i Electrical Issues - 11-15-2016, 08:17 AM

I have a BMW 335i (manual) with 133,000 miles.

I recently started having what appear to electrical issues.
1.) When starting the car I get a handful of warning indicator lights that display.
2.) I turn on the heat to defrost the front windshield and the blower does not always appear to be at max power. The rear defroster turns on but does not defrost the rear window.
3.) The clock display is set to --.--.-- or not time has been set.
4.) The Tripdometer resets to 0 every time I start the car.

These are just the issues that I have noticed.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks

I appreciate the response Brainsurgery.

Do you have any links to documentation that supports this?

Again, I appreciate the quick response.

There's a list of things that won't work if voltage is low enogh and all those things you mentioned are on that list. I hope someone can link that list here.

Any reason why BimmerBoost E85 Backend Flash has a higher timing curve than the MHD E85 Backend Flash?

What will make more power?

More timing generally means more power, BUT only if you can achieve it safely. Does no good to target higher timing and have the dme pull timing from low octane and such.

btw, it might be also failing alternator or generator but if you have 8-9 years old battery, I'd start replacing that.

It's probably your battery getting weak. BMW are programmed to reduce strain on the electrical system when the battery starts to get weak. Similar things were happening to me like blower motor not going max, rear window defroster not working, etc. Replaced battery and all went back to normal.

would like to know this also.. I've used it for a little while but turned it off since I was afraid it would stress some components? (although that's not based on any knowledge of my own)

you should not really get less timing corrections on stg2 than 2+. Feel free to email me logs.

Maybe because it's targeting less load, so you should compare different cells rather than purely the last column?

There's a hybrid version of the e85 flash map for upgraded turbos. Start with map 2 and post a log in the support section for jb4 advice.

Has anyone been successful with using MHD on a wireless bluetooth obdII thingy? I tried it and it didn't work.

Ah, I figured since it plugs into the obd port then it would work the same way as just running a bluetooth obd into the port and trying to connect to the monitor module on mhd. Oh well, guess i'll have to relocated the port so the cable isn't in the way when i get in and out of the car.

It depends on your mods / turbos / fuel and if you want to run flash only or flash + jb4. For a 1M the firmware version is IKM0S if that's your question.

There is something fishy with the low pressure pump which is way too flat to be 100% honest. Are there codes stored when you read codes with MHD?
