Just take a look at the logs before you go to a higher map. Easy peasy

Thanks for the tip bullitt! Besides looking closely at the AFR, anything else I need to pay close attention too?

I'll take your advice and go map by map. I'll post a log of map3 before going to map 5.

AFR will be completely fine with gasoline. Just watch timing and enable it on all cylinders.

Great information. How do I enable the timing for all cylinders? Is it an option on the jb4 settings?

Set FUD to 64, or walk yourself through the Bit options, if you know how to. Setting FUD to 64 will get it done, though.

I checked for the FUD option within the jb4 app and do not see it. Is the ewg cable required to see the option?

Right under the max boost per gear. FUD stands for Future Use D.

Any progress on being able to control the fueling on the b58 platform or is it approaching “lost cause” status?

Progress is being made on the supplemental fueling area, which we will need no matter what when big power is sought after.

Don't hold your breath on the DME tuning. Fuel-It will hold us over for quite a while and it's coming soon

for what it's worth, i notice on a cold start driving to work at part throttle (jb4 not engaged, normal accelerating throttle), shifts and power delivery are very abrupt between gears and the car will jerk when using map 3... doesn't do it on map 1/2.

93 oc, no other mods except jb4.

Hello,
I'am from Germany and i Drive a M240LCI with JB4,******** 300 Cell, Akrapovic.
What is MAP 5 ? Ist this for stock car with ultimate 102 Octane?
What is de difference of MAP2 and MAP5 ? HP? I can drive Map 5 safely?

On page one stands the map3 has 6 PSI over Stock, but at my JB4 has Map2 over 6 PSI over Stock, Map1 has 4 PSI over stock and Map3 3 PSI over Stock! Is there something wrong?
Sorry for my bad English

Flo

You can email to yourself and post in the support forum with details on car for advice if you'd like.

I try to send it over the bluetooth kit, not over the laptop

I understand that, and thats great for a lot of people, but for those of us that are leasing our cars and just want the most out of tunes and bolt ons without using secondary injection, meth, larger turbos or anything else sticking out blatantly for the dealer to see, its not an option. Not for me at least.

It seems that almost every other model car, N55, M3/M4, in BMW has the capabilities for adjustment in their tunes.

Also I know other manufacturers are a different cup of tea all together.... but if you look at every model turbo or supercharged vehicle for Audi and VW companies like A.P.R. have tunes and fueling capabilities across the board. I find it tough to believe that BMW is using a DME that is far different then what other german cars are using.

If you take 2 models/powerplant that are not too different from our cars, the Audi S4 and RS3/TTRS engines (those 2 cars have motors a 5 and 6 cyl that are used in many cars across audi's range.... just like the 3.0L twinpower turbo motor in the 340 and range). APR's tunes for those cars net absolutely insane power because the fueling can be manipulated. The S4 93 octane tune makes over 90 hp and the 5 cyl 93 octane over 150 and a SHHHHIT TON of torque. Don't get me wrong, I am happy that we can pickup the HP we can with our cars, but it would be great to pickup power like the N54 cars did (which is what i expected I could do buying a 340 and contacting Terry (BMS). Now it appears that my lease will be over before any progress will be made.

Hello,
if I use the EWG cable for the B58 change? for example had to change the N55 PID GAIN from 10 to 12? the default setting for FF, 50?
I need a new cable harness or just like the N55 in the DB25 plug?

Hi, i bought 430i 2018 4seriese and installed the jb4 b48.
I saw the instructions for canbus wheel control using BC button.
Hoever the LCI does not have two button like the video on the youtube.
When i press the bc button the left light comes on but there is no way to change maps.
Can you give me instruction for LCI 430i for changing map using BC button ?
Thanks

Default B58 DME Fuel Limit - 10-16-2017, 08:27 PM

Regarding the current issues around the fuel cap in the DME, what about using the MAF sensor to adjust fuelling e.g. if boost value over X PSI, add X% to the value read by MAF. DME will think more air has been metered than has actually gone to the inlet manifold and therefore add more fuel, resulting in a richer mix? This may overcome the issue of a Load/Fuel limit in the DME tables?

I think the fuel cap is limited in the DME, and only a flash can change it
