Default No Excuses Drag Set-up - 01-08-2016, 02:52 PM

Finally got everything together on my drag tire, and wheel combo. It cost a pretty penny, and I wasted money on front wheels that didnt fit the first go around. This is as much meat you as can possibly fit in these cars. I need to raise the car up a bit the front is too close, but everything fits, and clears just barely. There is zero excuses for not being able to put down a solid 60 ft with these in the rear. Having another phantom motor issue with a junk yard motor I bought. Found a ton of metal in the pan, before the issue started. I honestly need to stop buying these things. I had track day planned tomorrow. Putting if off now.

Set up is:

Front:
M&H RaceMaster Front runner skinnies 28 x 4.50-18

Weld Racing Wheel, RT-S S71, Aluminum, Matte Black, 18 in. x 4.5 High pad
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wld-71hb8045n16a

Rear:
Hoosier Tire, Drag Slick, 28.00 x 10.00-17, Bias-Ply, Solid White Letters, D06 Compound

Kosei K1's 17X8.5"

anyone produce an adjustable solid-ish shock for the rear? and something adjusted close to a 90/10 for the front? If so, can't wait to watch this!

Since fitment is close, no chance on touching due to weight transfer?

100% will need ride height adjustment to ensure no rubbing, prob a little inner fender massaging as well. This was the initial test fit to make sure I didn't waste $2500 on a set up that didn't fit. Its damn close but they do fit like a glove. Raising the height on the coil overs about an inch should fix all the possible rubbing issues. As for suspension, it could be better. Eibach pro street coilovers on all four corners, Eibach sway bars, I did replace every single rear arm, with either billet, and rod bearing, or M3. This should help get rid of that deflection we see on launching.

Would love to see consistent 1.5 60' out of this now, wouldn't be surprised if a 1.4 is in it. Hope you get everything worked out soon Tony excited to see what this bad boy can do.

Car is an MT, and yes this car has been the track once prior with no suspension arm upgrades, no LSD, a lot less power, and shift bog. It ran an 11.4 at 125, with a 1.7 60 ft, and bad shifting. Only got 2 runs in before the clutch welded
