Default RB Stock Frame Stock location Silicone Inlets under development>>> - 07-07-2015, 03:59 PM

Just wanted to share that a new stock frame stock location inlet option is on the horizon as we have decided to build some new designs to our standards with the following attributes:

1) Larger diameter hosing utilized as far as possible throughout the inlet, and a gradual taper towards the end for the best fitment.
2) Recirculation adapters built in, CNC'd and anodized black for a factory finish
3) PCV heater element adapter built in, CNC'd and anodized black for a factory finish (see pic)
4) Ideal fitment for stock frame turbos as the inlet will taper to 1.75" (fitting all stock frames perfectly-aside for competitive 2+ turbos)
5) Lower price point in the $3xx range.

We anticipate these will be able to ship within a month as our samples will be sent out shortly.

Thanks for your interest.

Rob

Definitely subbed to this. Can't wait to see how these compare to the other 2-3 options.

Awesome! I'd pay more just to not have to buy something from Vargas.

TFTs are just on another price level, lol. Their CP does look cool though. I like the idea of not having to relocate a bunch of stuff.

Tell you what... the TFT system is a work of art. You have to keep in mind the amount of fabrication that goes into that with high grade Stainless steels, which is bulletproof for life, and is extremely high flow, but comes at a high (but appropriate) cost.

By the way someone told me he just made 660rwhp on his standard old RB's recently? Not sure if thats true, but it is what I heard…

That's all I'm saying. It is honestly a really good system, and uses good materials. And if he doesn't mind paying more just to not use Vargas, that's gonna be his solution before yours comes out. That's all I was saying.

Wanted to add this more in-depth point about #4 in our OP:

As for the other comparable inlets we have found recently that they were designed to fit mainly on the 2+ style compressor housing snouts… and provide a very poor fit on any other turbo setup (ie. RB, OEM, Hexon, etc). The expectation is to crank down on the clamp in attempt to reduce the ID from 2" to 1.75", which likely distorts the plumbing, etc… and in many cases is causing leaks as this expectation is just really not realistic. Thus they are very poorly designed for the goals of securing to the OEM style diameter inlets. This said we would prefer any of our customers to run any other inlet system that secures properly.

Rob
