Default 640 WHP N55 135i DCT - 06-27-2019, 10:54 AM

Hey guys I threw my 2013 135i n55 dct with a big boost exhaust manifold, 6871 comp turbo, turbosmart wastegate, stage 3 fuel it lpfp, jb4 w/mac solenoid, 100 percent E85 and FBO.
Car made 558 whp @ 18 psi, 638 whp @ 22.5 psi and 600 whp @ 20 psi(not pictured below). When I turned the boost up I started to get spark blowout on the top end because my spark plug gap is too big. I have also attached a log from a street pull below with the same flash tune that I used on the dyno.

Log looks really good!

AFR, trims, boost is all where they should be. PI is firing as well, so that's good.
HPFP is nice a steady. Just had little timing pull on cyl 5 but other than that, it's healthy!

Thanks for the review. In terms of cylinder 5 dropping timing I’m almost certain that’s because of spark plug gap that give me spark blowout once I turned it up on the dyno

Yea, no big deal. Just tighten the gap a bit more. I run .018" on my N54 with the NGK97506

Nice result!

You end up getting a used M4 flywheel?

Who is doing the flash tune?

Yes Iíve been a used m4 flywheel and Ssp r clutch packs for a little over a year now. Pure evil tuning made the flash tune for the car

I used to run a gap of 0.018 when I was stock coils but I raised it up to 0.025 when I went PR. Iíll lower the gap back down to 0.020 and go from there. There is definitely a lot more power left in the car boost wise

i think the lag makes tuning easier and with cleaner logs (from what I have seen). The speedtech spools so early it makes tuning tip in a real PITA

Are you doing the MHD tune yourself? I was thinking of having twisted tuning or someone do mine. I'd be going flash only though

The timing he is running is perfectly fine since he has the octane to support it.

No 13.5 degrees is right where I like it, MBT is around 15-16 degrees on these cars so thereís still power to gain with increased timing on my car

Idk why but my car spools slower on the dyno than the street. Also this is a much bigger turbo than what the speed tech kit runs

Because the dyno is less load than on the street

If you don't mind me asking, what did the trans upgrades run you with labor? I'm building my 135i, if I can keep the damn thing alive until the turbo arrives. $3,500 in maintenance in the last 2 months and something else broke tonight. I'm a bit concerned about the DCT with the Pure S2. Thanks!

I have 2011 335i with N55 Its full bolt on. mod list; walbro 450, jb4, mhd bef, intercooler, ******* **, gfb diverter valve, ARM intercooler piping, ARM chargepipe. I peak at 18-19 psi and am running e50 with the mhd bef e85 bin. Anyone have any ideas what horsepower numbers I'm at? Cause I see ur at 18 psi making 550 but I'm assuming that has a lot to do with more aggressive timing and 100% e85 or is there something I'm missing?

You would be missing the air density. Larger turbos move air more efficiently so they don't heat the intake air as much as smaller turbos. That is why they make much more power at the same boost levels. Less heat = more dense = more oxygen molecules per pound of boost. The price you pay for that efficiency is greater lag in the turbine responsiveness.
