My installer was saying the thermostat had to come out to install outlets. I was just expressing my frustration with that and my curiosity with your product in the same post

With the aftermarket aluminum outlets, while considering the amount of pieces/clamps and overly large size, along with the variety of Intercooler connections, the modifications required to effectively adapt it all together, all in an extremely tight area; it is an Installation tech's nightmare. To the best of my knowledge they were discontinued and I'm sure this had at least a little to do with it.

Sometimes Installation Techs certainly can pull your chain, but many other times they are not... they are the ones in the "trenches" getting it done and the aftermarket installations are not always a friendly feat (quite the contrary typically). Vendors can also be misleading when it comes to the reality of their products fitment. At the end of the day the real estate in the N54 underhood is extremely unforgiving making things even worse, so it is not beyond belief that a tech would feel the need to remove other items to gain the access needed to get to everything efficiently. I would have simply requested pics or personally looked into the situation to see what they meant.

At any rate we expect fitment of these to be spot on as they were developed with the Installation Tech AND Performance in mind, so provided our vendor makes the tooling correctly all should be well.

Thanks,
Rob

We have 3 extra sets of outlets coming as part of our "sample". We will be test fitting all options in house firstly to ensure the samples are as we'd designed them- but would like the following cars to also review an install as well:
1) LHD 535 (fitment unknown- pretty sure we have a tester)
2) RHD 135/335
3) LHD 135/335

Thanks,
Rob

They should install without going to anywhere near those lengths, I really do not think it would be much more than removing the belly tray (from the underside). I guess it just depends on how your v-band clamps on the turbo compressor outlets are orientated and how hard it is to get to them based on their position. It could be a bit of a wildcard there but other than that they should be able to be installed mostly from up top.

Update:
1) LHD 535 (fitment unknown- pretty sure we have a tester)
2) RHD 135/335
3) LHD 135/335- Occupied by 1 LHD 335.

We may end up with another 4th position. I'd REALLY like get the #2 position filled, any takers?

Thanks,
Rob

Hey guys if you have not already please shoot me an email. We will need to discuss our best option for the RHD test fitting and there are several parties interested so probably be best to do over email. Thanks again for your interest!

Just an update that these have finally shipped back to us so within the week we should know if we approve of the samples, if so we will ship some to some test fitters as per prior discussions.

Yes it took a lot longer than we'd ever seen before at about 60 days, but they are on their way back now. We should be able to test fit them upon arrival within a few days, and then be able to send out some test sets per prior agreements immediately thereafter (provided we approve of them). The outlets by themselves should install fairly easily.

These were due in last night. However customs held them so it should be today or Monday now before we have them in hand. Once we get to that point, sure we can post pics.
