Default RB Inlets - 05-17-2016, 05:18 PM

Does anyone know if adding RB turbo inlets will add any gains to hp and tq on stock turbos? VTT claims that theres 30 hp gains with just adding inlets on stock turbos with no other mods.

No, you don't gain 30 whp by adding inlets to a bone stock car.
Different story if the car has hardware mods and a tune. Then I can see 20-30 WHP, depending on what was done and octane mix etc.

30 to 40 hp increase to FBO with factory turbos.
More with a tune.

Gains are there, car breathes so much better top side. I haven't dyno'ed but straight bench dyno numbers I feel like I am somewhere around 450whp.

So what your saying it does gain with no other mods, and tune on stock turbos because it breathes better?

You will see some gains with no other mods, just not much. Infact, you probably wouldn't notice it, unless you put it on a dyno. Inlets should be closer to the last mods you purchase.

+1.
The more boost you push, the more they help. I am seeing 3-4 psi more boost with mine compared to before I added them. But I have RB turbos.
I have been tuning a 335 with just DCI, FMIC/CP and inlets on 93 octane and it's hitting 19.5 psi boost. They make a nice whooshing noise too.

I have a tune, fmic and a cp. Would these inlets benefit me? I have no intention of adding ***

Why don't you want to add ***? You can get some hi flow ones that still pass emissions. And if you do inlets, it would be the best time to do them since you will have all that torn apart.

I have an inner hippie which won't let me do it

Plus I recently had to replace the seal on my front oem inlet. If my seal on the rear inlet goes out then I may spring for the upgrade if its worth it.
