Truth be told if he was a nicer character we would've never gone down this path. For several months now we let it go while knowing the margins, remaining silent AND turning some customers his way assuming what he had created was a good product. Then we watched him as he wrung out the community and acting as if he was not… this product hands down is likely the best cash cow he has ever had since entering this market and we honestly at times thought well good for him and stood back and watched. The funniest part was when he had the 1/2 price "giveaway", he made very nice margin on a GIVEAWAY!!! Well played.

Based on our own margins on all of our products, this will definitely be a top performer even at our GB pricing.

The problem is that he opens mouth so often that eventually we decide to put our foot in it. So hope it tastes well ole buddy.

Rob

Ok... So, these will be similar to the VTT inlets? Wrapping around to the stock air box location?

Yes. As it turns out we use the same supplier for our silicone products. We will not be utilizing their SAME product, but they will be made the same (construction wise) or similar (design wise) that is correct. It starts with us making our own sample, and then having it created into a formed hosing sample that we test for fitment. Once we get it "dialed in", we hit go and production begins to any number we wish. So literally this GB can grow to any number imaginable, we welcome it, and if it grows to say 50 we may even knock it down a bit more.

Thanks,
Rob

Ok... Put me down for a set Rob. I read they're a PITA to install, but, oh well :-p
My BOV setup vents to atmosphere, but, I'd like to utilize the PCV tie in to the rear turbo inlet.
Thanks,
- Chris

Dear Rob,

I am super excited to hear about these inlets and would have loved to sign up for the waiting list yet again.

However; I have been almost on the top of the waiting list cash in hand with a leaking turbo through my supplier for the RBTurbo EVO kit since what it feels like 1997. I bought nothing else because of the great lengths RBTurbo (You) goes to make a product worthy of its name (Your name). I took it in stride that some of the replies my supplier received "They will be ready when they are ready" which is understandable to achieve perfection and "If your customer can't wait, tell him he can buy something else" which is not fully understandable, but patience for quality sometimes is required.

Where things fall apart for me is when a new product is introduced that to my understanding hasn't even been fabricated and/or is not in production, seeking a group purchase that could potentially delay the completion and fulfilment of the original/newest offering.

I've always considered RBTurbo to be a cut above the rest due to the vast amount of praise you get from the N54 community, giving you the freedom that if 1 (in this case) new client drops out, the next one in line will take their spot.

The problem for me is that at this point I've grown tired of waiting and feel a little embarrassed about the pride I took when speaking of your product going in to my car and the honour of being 1 out of 10 "Lucky winners" who would get the first batch leaving the factory.

Now I'll have to take your suggestion to either buy something else or make my own.

I wish you well with your future endeavours and can't wait what these new Inlets and the EVO kit will put down to the ground.

Thank you,

Sam

Will you consider an option with no DV outlets (for those running a BOV) so we don't need to cap them with bungs?

Understood your concern. We are being patient with this new offering. We are in no hurry to sell it to the masses, well we do not want to prematurely anyway. We really just want to start it entirely on the right foot and ensure it goes as well as possible. These things take much time, and several vendors have their hands in it, some that we are awaiting on at this time. Taking on this new inlet project is something we can easily endure in the downtimes, and is a load we are willing to take. Best of luck with your decision whatever it may be.

Unfortunately not at this time as we feel having the provisions in place will cover both bases. We would suggest the VTT inlets may possibly be more up your alley if you insist on not simply plugging the provisions (as you would the OEM inlets).
