Are these built to a higher quality than the last batches or is the life expectancy the same aa before? I know 3 RB cars in my area. They all are on their second set of RBs and the seals are still leaking. Hope these are better. Good luck fellas.

Not sure who you are, who you represent, or who you speaketh of... But if they are leaking oil and have already had a goodwill warranty repair and still seap oil it's probably a good time to start considering alternative sources of problems. Much times "issues" so to speak with turbos are the effect of another problem rather than the actual cause. There are also other times that extreme and constant abuse can effect lifespan as well. There are times wheels eat foreign objects and turbos self destruct, they are really fragile in that regard. Not sure if that helps ease your concern, but appreciate your feedback. I would know more than any that if every product sold came back then I'd be at an extreme loss after this amount of time serving directly to this community.

Anyway, glad to see the group buy has came to a quick ending. Since it ended so quickly I'm considering adding some more positions for an added discount (for all involved); if there is anyone NOT in agreement please let me know.

Thanks,
Rob

Any additional discount you want to extend would be appreciated by me. I just got burned by a clutch job last week that resulted in me having to buy another clutch and install... Its always great to spend 4000 on something that you expect to cost 2000. Hopefully I can get back some of that money back from the clutch company before I have to send in payment for the RBs.

it would be nice if you would design a better manifold for these turbos

The OEM manifold in my eyes is a great design. It is made from material that is the best of the best. It is dual walled/air gapped for heat retention purposes. It is also quite free flowing as well as compact. For a turbo car with the space confinements that we are working with I see no real gains from improving the actual manifold. The turbine housing though could use improvement beyond stuffing in the bigger wheels (such as RB Turbos). But replacing the turbine housings (in a twin setup) is where you get into a full upgrade; which typically consists of poor fitment, extreme purchasing and labor costs, general hacking, all for what typically is a worse spooling setup. Of course, the power potential increase is nice- but different strokes for different folks.

As with anything there are always trade offs. RB Turbos were meant to be stealthy additions that pack a more powerful punch, utilizing very well matched wheel components and centersections all for an affordable price.

Hope that helps.
Rob

I am going to ponder today and see what better deal I can provide for another 5-10 positions. If that seems worthwhile for those on the list as a majority then it will be extended as such. If not the deal will commence as sits.

I am really surprised this GB came to 15 as quick as it did, so it could be completely worth it to extend a little more time for more positions at a better deal.

Thanks,
Rob

Improving the housing shouldn't be that expensive to do, in sure the is room for that without changing to much oem components on the car. If you do it and don't place it to expensive a lot of people will buy. Vishup single turbo charges a ridiculous amount of money for just the..... And still people buys it...

These are excellent turbos for a daily driver. They spool quickly. Look at the videos and you can see that you will have a supercar performance.

I agree that in words it should be easy and cheap. Unfortunately there is a large disparity between words and reality. I'm the first to admit that RB Turbos may not be for everyone, I try to be very clear in their intended potential and they've had some great success for what is otherwise an upgrade that is put in service for one thing: push the envelope.

That all said, you maybe more interested in a single turbo or maybe the new Vargas Stage 3 setup that should be released sometime later this year. I'd fully expect about both kits being upward of $7k and installation being ~$1k for ST and ~$2k for the TT. At the end of the day you have to pay to play.

Hope this helps,
Rob

Lol, that is why I'm buying them. What I'm trying to do is to get him to do something better with these turbos since he is the only that I could trust out there to make it happen :P

My car has 84,000 miles, so at some point it will need a turbo replacement. I figured why not bite the bullet and do it now, like prudent preventive maintenance. :-)
I like this car so much I plan on keeping it until it breaks down.
Best car I ever owned, by far.

If you decide to have some more spots available with additional savings, you may tempt me to sign up as the only thing holding me back right now is waiting to see how Vargas Stage 2 turbos perform on the N54.

The demand has been great and this has moved so fast I see almost no reason not to extend "x" amount if positions a "y" discount for a "z" interval. I'm working on determining those variables now and will confirm the extension tomorrow.

Those who have messaged me please be patient. There's been lots of questions and it has my head spinning!! I'll try to address them all tonight. I have attempted to address most any possible question in this thread though regarding the way it will work.

Thanks,
Rob

Also, as this moves along- please all who partake subscribe to this thread and then hit me with questions as a group! This will help relieve insane amounts of administrative efforts required with addressing each person individually. This will likely help us all out and save much time. Please review the first post very closely as it should have addressed exactly how this will work once it has commenced.

Thanks,
Rob
