Maybe a reading bug? Try with an external reader too to make sure you have the right code.

Tried reading with another OBDII code reader to confirm what the fault is?

The fault is a communication error with the brake system. Internet info stated it’s usually non critical. So I reset the code and it hasn’t returned. It also said could be a fuse as well. I used the OBDSTAR X200. Very nice unit.

If we had a car here and a scan tool that could reset it I'm sure we could mirror the commands.

So yesterday I had a misfire, I pulled over to use the JB4 app and no codes were found. I unplugged the obd2 port to use my other scan tool to retrieve the code, I did this while the car was running and the dashboard lite up like a Christmas tree (when I turned the car off all the lights went away and did not come back). When I plugged the obd2 port back in all the engine gauges work but when I tried to scan for the codes in the app it says "invalid request try again". I restarted my phone, reopened the app, turned my car off and on and in accessory mode, checked all connections, and still nothing.
I decided to take it completely off the car. I don't know what the issue is, any ideas??

If you unplug the OBDII with the JB4 running it may reset triggering faults to the sensors it's attached to. They are easily cleared once OBDII is replaced.
The ECU has to power down to restart everything. Lock doors wait a few min.

I hit 0-100mph flat under 10sec on repeated runs,
Map 7, K&n filters, 3 gal e85 , 1 bottle of octanieum unleaded rest 91 full tank.
Spark plugs gapped to .017, never hit redline,
Posting a YouTube link,

Jb4 is a great product . No problems.

I just don't think the demand is there to develop it considering how well the car responds to the JB4 and how generally easy it is to install. But if there is a market we could work on one.

Hey guys. I just got the JB4 installed in my car. Now I am having a couple issues. It appears the OBDII connection isn’t working. I’m able to communicate with the JB4 through the smartphone app but I can’t see anything else or read any of the codes such as the CEL I now have. I checked and re-checked all the connections but no luck. Another thing I noticed is the exhaust sound was MUCH quieter when I started the car. Is it possible it’s running in a sort of limp mode right now?

Update: I had the OBDII connector upside down . It's working better now, except one thing I noticed is it seems like there is significantly more boost lag and the engine feels completely gutless until I hit 4500+ RPM. Not sure if that's normal or not. I did some logging in Map1 if you'd like to check it out and let me know if it is safe to try Map2 or 3. I'd prefer Map3 as I only run 93 octane.

Update 2: the front and rear wires were reversed. Once they got connected correctly the car ran great!
I’m still wondering what the stock boost numbers should be for a base Ghibli and how much extra psi map2 is supposed to give me. Is it safe to try map3? I only run 93 octane.

Here in Sacramento CA. we only have access to 91 Octane as far as I know. I got a 32. oz can of VP Racing Fuels Madditive Octanium Unleaded Octane Booster. Says it's safe for O2 sensors and Cats. Directions say to add full can to 20 GAL of fuel for a +3 boost in octane. That should give me 94 octane. I plan to test it this Monday. Do you think this is safe?
