JB4 boost scaling with 4 bar sensor? -

One of my favorite features of the JB4 is the gauge controls, and I particularly like to use the boost on fuel function. I know the scaling is 0-20 psi with the factory sensor. I've switched to the 4 bar TMAP and I'm curious how the gauge relates to psi now. I've been using map 6 with a 21 psi max target to test it out. The gauge only reaches around 3/4, but when I check my logs it show I'm right on target all the way up to 21. Does the scaling change or does it just not work with this sensor?
Also, what is the safe boost range for stock internals and turbos? I haven't gone above 21 yet, but it seems like i could turn it up a few pounds. I'd rather not stress the turbos, but I'm more concerned about the engine itself.
The "maximum" scaling in dash is the same as your boost safety setting in the app.
