On Map5 with pump 93 my 2017 Premium RWD logs we acceptable. Moving up to Map7 required an E30 fuel blend and Fuel Wires. For a whole lot of extra fun - start saving up your spare change for the BMS WMI Kit.
Total game changer on Map8 !!

Hey everyone ! I've been reading this thread for awhile now, probably read it twice so i wouldn't have to ask so many questions. From there i hooked up my JB4 and copied some boost profiles from this thread they'll be below and blended some E30 and loaded map 6. Below is my log, everything looks good to me, though i'm not sure what max commanded spark is at WOT with no correction from the BCM or ECU or TCU. Any ideas?
I just plugged in my fuel wires, BTW to anyone reading. On the passenger side, you can pull the 02 sensor wires up and out of the bracket that's holding them down. Once that's done and unplugged from the pigtail you can use two hands to install the fuel wire without much trouble.
I installed fuel wires today, wanted some opinions on my logs before turning on the fuel wires. Bit0 should've been turned off, but when i turned on my car this afternoon it was already enabled? That being said the AFR's in the log might be wrong, i'll turn the boost down tonight and do some logging and see where i'm at..
Also i'm looking for some insight on trims, what exactly are we looking at? HPFP + LPFP duty cycles? STFT ? LTFT ? What's "bad" i couldn't exactly find that out by reading this thread.
Also, how is everyone looking at spark knock? I'm guessing if spark goes from 6-10* (what i'm seeing) to 2* or 0* we can assume the ECU is pulling timing..?

Below is my map 6 boost table. Car feels like it's dying up top, logs look "ok"to me, should i taper it down less in the upper RPM? I wish we could tune the shift points without the ECU being flashed.
for Stillens recommendation on max boost and some comments about RPM. Plenty are going higher but at least Stillen uses sound reasoning and math behind their claims.
Your fuel wires are definitely working. Any large drops in timing (3 degrees or more except in high gear right around 5000-5200) typically indicate knock. I've seen Ecutek tunes that showed timing drops less than this, but yours increases through the pull which is good.
Sometimes dropping a couple PSI and letting the ECU add more timing can make it feel quicker.
I do recommend the BMS WMI kit as it integrates nicely with the JB4. I did an install with pics that keeps everything under the hood if you decide to look for install options.

I'll keep that in mind thank you! The WMI thread is pretty good, i like how some are stepping up to a bigger nozzle to correct for maxed fuel trims. Mine look okay from what i see on E30. So i'd just use it for the octane increase.
Still need to do intakes, lower down pipe, CBE, and heat exchanger. i'd also like to do BOV's but on the stock tune, i'm not sure how well those would play.

My bad, meant to clarify. I guess i'm talking more on the JB4 tuning/control side of things not necessarily hardware. I remember reading a while back that JB4 on BMW/Stinger side have more features/control vs the Q50

Ecutek has PIDs for actual manifold air temps, individual cylinder knock and spark, etc. They should be available on JB4. The only saving grace for BMS is some of the Ecutek tuners raised their prices. Once up rev is sorted it's going to be a viable option at a much cheaper cost.

Ecutek has PIDs for actual manifold air temps, individual cylinder knock and spark, etc. They should be available on JB4. The only saving grace for BMS is some of the Ecutek tuners raised their prices. Once up rev is sorted it's going to be a viable option at a much cheaper cost.
The only way to use those is to reflash the ECU as it's the flash itself that adds the logging channels missing from the factory data set.

Fuel Wires reattached, quick Map 2 and some Map 3 log to see if my previous condition of maxed trims and weird AFRs are now under control.
AFR and trims look better once you get out of 1st gear. Looks like some wheel spin or traction control kicked in. Boost is lower than I would expect you to be running, but I guess you did say this was map 2/3.

I did have wheel spin, you're spot on. And yes, it was 97 degrees here yesterday so my rule of thumb is never to go above Map 3 if the temps are above 90. Tomorrow AM I'll be making a 37 min drive in 50-60 degree weather, all highway, so I'll get another log in Map5/6. Thanks for the quick look.
