I Keep getting POWERTRAIN MALFUNCTION codes daily... It's been terrible to drive and never knowing when it will pop up... I am able to clear codes on my dash though while driving and it will go back to normal... but definitely something went wrong with the last firmware updates...

I ordered a new EWG harness hoping that's the issue.

Posted something in the support forum, but I'm getting this too. I'm getting a wastegate flap sluggish code along with the drivetrain malfunction. Only happens in map 6. I've been trying to dial in fueling after a PS2 install on map 6 and it keeps happening around 3500 RPM. FF is at 0 constantly. Trims aren't responding super well to increases in duty bias. WGDC isn't looking like it's trying to build boost. I get it like clockwork around 3500 RPM at WOT when doing a log pull, but it also happens randomly under very mild acceleration while the diverter is doing its thing (GFB DV+ installed). Uploading a log of one of the runs where I was trying to dial it in and she died.
Zero issues on map 7. I'm on fw 15_T1
Edit:
Solved my FF issues by adjusting my boost targets. Doing so resolved my wastegate flap sluggish code as well.

I'm still tuning and adjusting my targets, but I can give you a log I've pulled in the process if it'd still be useful.

Drive Train Malfunction.. Just installed new air intake and JB4 on 2014 F series 335i. I was running it in Map2 and heard a loud pop and got the above message. I found the vaccum line had popped off the intake pipe. I reconnected it but still have message and transmission runs in safety mode. Is there any way to clear it myself? Unfortunately I didn't buy the USB cable to see what codes are displayed. Thank you

You will need data cable or bluetooth. Maybe if you go to a local autoshop they can clear the code for you.

Sorry for the delay, I was out of the country. Like I said I'm still dialing her in and I just found slight damage to my EWG harness don't expect anything close to perfection haha. I haven't had that malfunction since I adjusted my boost targets though. Feel free to tune her for me

Looks like you may have a boost leak somewhere. WGDC is maxed and FF is maxed.

That was my first thought too. Still have troubleshooting to do. WGDC and FF were more normal before I made a prior adjustment, so either I did something crazy or I popped something once I finally found 26psi. Anyway, just wanted to give you a log since you asked for it haha

Yea, I would definitely look around for something off or loose. That's a pretty big leak from what it looks like.

I was wondering if anyone knows the sequence to get into the in dash steering wheel menu to change maps and read codes. I am still waiting on my bluetooth but finally got the JB4 installed this morning. I believe I am running map 1 but could possibly be placebo. I have tried the BC and volume down for 2-5 secs with no response. I have tried researching and can not find enough information on the 2015 F10 N55 535xi model. I have emailed Mike and he told me that I could access the dash menu without first laptop hookup.
