Hey guys I need some advice. I recently installed a pair of VRSF ********* on my '08 135i e82. Shortly after I noticed I was low on fuel and stopped to fill up but the fuel gauge didn't change, still said I was almost empty.

Now it says I'm totally empty and I've refilled twice now. The JB4 app shows codes:

2DE5 fuel fill level sensor, right: signal
2DE4 fuel fill level sensor, left: signal

Ive checked the fuse and the level floaters and everything looked fine.

Its at 90k so I figured a LPFP assembly could be in order but that has not resolved the issue either.

I was thinking about replacing the assembly under the drivers side but since there's still no signal to the passenger side I didn't want to waist time/$ on an unnecessary repair.

Kind of strange if both aren't working.

It's easy to verify the float, they are 50(empty) to 1000 ohms (full). If those are functioning properly then there must be a wiring issue, not something we've had to deal with.

I gave up and took it to the dealership. It turned out to be a fried junction box. Never would have guessed.
