Am I safe to run map 3?

What kind of power does map 3 make?

I run with 91 or 93 octane fuel

Car is stock besides the tune and a K&N Drop in filter

Future plans for spring is a HKS catback exhaust and prl intercooler with charge *****.

What I have noticed from map 3 is that it picks up boost a lot faster on lower rms and makes a lot more power then map one and two but I do seem that it dies on power on top end in higher gears 93oct prl stage one intake with pipe

Map two has a crazy kick at 4K rmp on second gear rips the tires on nitto g2s with a better top end pulll gets to 100 faster and map one has a better top end pull then map two and three this is what I noticed with my type r

It is safe to run 3 but try add a octane booster to have a smoother top end runs way harder

So if your looking for better top end speeds I’ll go with map 1 and 2 and if your looking quick pulls with a lot of power map 3 all day

Thanks Alextyper for the advice! I'll give map 3 a try and see how it does. I really like map 2 but have curious what other maps are like. next time I need gas (which is probably soon lol) I'll get some 94 octane fuel and give map 3 a go.

What kind of HP & Torque do you think map 3 makes?

I think map 2 is about a 45hp jump from stock.

Wait to you try map 3 it’s like you built the motor lol I race my buddy with a other type r with intake I was in map 3 and I pulled him by 8 cars he ask me what the hell did I have done to my car I told him just a little tune thanks to jb4

I have a noob question - from my logs, i can see a big difference between "pedal" and "throtte", many occasions my pedal is only 30% but my throttle is at 100. So, does it mean that I was literally going WOT? I am a bit confused, please enlighten me, thanks!

The higher maps are all about fuel pressure. With some octane boost or race gas, as long as fuel pressure is holding, no problem.
