Default Fuel wire installed, log check please - 08-17-2021, 11:59 PM

Afternoon all,

Could someone have a look at these please?

The car is a 2019 Cerato GT 1.6 turbo with HKS plugs @.022 and the fuel wire installed - 98 RON fuel

Logs are all done in 3rd gear from 2K - 6200

From my understanding the fuel trims on the 1.6 only go to a max of 42 so these logs seem to have high trim numbers? is this a big deal?

Do the IGN numbers look ok? I don't see any drops in timing of more than 1degree, are these what people refer to as "timing corrections"

Thanks for any guidance people can give, it is really appreciated.

logs look pretty clean, you are correct, trims are running high but AFR's look okay so that's what matters. Your timing correction happened on map 1 and 3 was minor and appears to be random...not a big deal.

Fuel trims are not a concern..... I have run E30 on the stock tune and still went dead rich at high rpm.

With the previous engine controls, the same engines and injectors can be flashed to run 100% E85, no blending.

There is plenty of headroom in the stock fuel system. What won't happen is squeezing much more than 210-220 whp (156 kw - 164 kw) out of pump gas, I don't care if it's RON 98 or Canadian Sunoco/BP 94 octane or US 93 octane.

Right now there is a bit of a debate on Facebook about the virtues of flash tuning. Okay he said again that flashing was better but to run better fuels (E85 blends) you would need to pull out the laptop and reflash the car.

Ummm you have to turn the car off for that. With the JB4, my "tune" isn't fixed, I can increase the boost with the car running.

These guys just don't get it. Now I will say this, there seems to be drivability issues with the DCT stock that exasperated when running the JB4. Terry needs to get a DCT car into the shop at Burger to sort this out.

It seems the people who have gotten flashes are happy the drivability issues are gone and still have some power.

But again these youngins don't know I know and are about to get crushed.
