You're freaking me out. DeePees are on my winter install list.
But I like the DINAN sound, not the Civic...
Your description warrants a video! Do it! (not sure how one model DeePee can sound dramatically different than the next, but I've not done my reading on this subject yet)

Does it run fine? If not you probably cross your O2s.
If it runs fine but sounds like ****, it's probably your cold start still being enabled. You are probably hearing the waste gates rattling.
Other than that make sure there are no exhaust leaks and that you installed everything right.

Sounds like an exhaust leak, did you install the gaskets?

D P with stock exhaust won’t be much louder. You probably have an exhaust leak as others have mentioned.

Hello everyone, I have gone to 5 different exhaust shops and they all said that my exhaust is fine. I installed the gaskets that came with it and all the bolts were 100% tight. I took it to a shop as well to see if anything was wrong with the deepee install and it was ok. Just sounds like sheeeit

If 5 independant shops told you it's fine, it's 100% just you. I'm not sure why it would sound much (or any) different, regardless.
You have yet to identify the difference, aside from saying it sounds bad. Not sure anything could be done to aid you.

^^ Agreed.
Could always pop the hood to make sure they didn't toss a sewing machine under it.
I still vote, post a vid with audio, recorded from about 10 feet to the rear-side of the car. I'm fascinated by a sound that garners your description.

Do you use JB4?
If so, I've found (with my car at least) that if option 10 (Default Wastegate Position) is set at or near 0 it sounds like crap.
When the setting is 0 the wastegates are WIDE open during low throttle and cruising.
My car will sound like beer cans are rattling in the exhaust until I give heavy throttle and the WGs close. I keep the setting maxed out at 5000.
It's more than WG rattle its raspy and tinny sounding. Sounds like well... a beater Honda.

I've never done deepee, so no personal experience.
I plan on it this winter, for performance, but was believing it would let through more sound.
I like my sound, but want a bit more of it.
Not the case from what your saying.
I'm not sure if YOU are serious! Lol

So if just *** sound that bad, maybe the seals on turbos where the ** meets at the flange. Possibly a bad weld at an 02 bung ?
Hard to say without a video.
Op where are you located ? I see 562 in username.

Im dead serious. I really cant tell the difference. my turbos are much louder after upgrade, but I cant tell a difference in the exhaust at idle or while driving.

Very nice looking work and pics.
How long did you spend?
That was laying on your back, or a lift?

Thanks. I did it in my garage because I wanted to take my time. I can be a little obsessive when it comes to details.
That being said it's impossible to say how long for just the cats, as I pretty much addressed the entire front end maintenance while I was down there. Shout-out to AR designs, as I had to literally Fab a notch in the front ** so the rear upstream O2 sensor could clear, and I could rotate the front ** to the correct position. Was pretty bummed, but if there's one thing this project taught me it's this: if you deal on the internet, you gotta deal with the internet. Taking time to ship them back and then maybe get a part that fits 100% correctly a month later wasn't as interesting to me as just solving the problem in my garage, same day.
I documented my work pretty well with pictures, so I should probably do a build thread. I'm definitely one of few, if any e60 awd guys that has done the pure 600 turbos, and aluminum outlets.
