2 step issues -
08-11-2019, 06:50 AM
So I put the 2 step relay in and when I put it in first clutch all the way in and floor it, you can tell it trying to limit the engine however it powers through then gives me all sorts of codes. If it’s not in first or clutch isn’t in will rev fine, it only pops all of these codes once I try and use it, more or less want NLs. Running E85 with E85 BEF, and a 7th injector from fuel it

I figured it out.
your jb4 power wire is swapped with red relay wire -_- just
You get those codes also because your antilag chip is bad or you dont have the connectors in for it. Black long connector pin 17 should have a jumper
now i fixed it i was getting exact same codes

So I did have the relay wires I the middle of the mess, I moved it to the end of the bundle after the JB4 power, Bluetooth, meth and port injection. However still having issues.
Checked wiring, when I punch the clutch in I get the 14v when it’s out I get 0v, however on the wire coming out of the DB9 it’s always got 14v?

What’s your auto shift boost reduction set to under user adjustment settings?
Set it to 0 and retest.

Broo im 100% sure your wiring has issue. I looked over my wiring like 7 8 times and after that i realised that it was not properly wired. Problem is theres no good youtube video explaining how to install 2step with antilag. I remember making a simple video if i find it ill upload it and send u a link. Its confusing with the 2 red and orange wires.

If you get 2step or antilag working its a good sign
Those codes mean your car is trying to 2step but something is stopping it. If your settings are wrong it will just rev to the sky and do nothing at all

Does the car have to be warm? Or will it two step shortly after a cold start? My anti lag (down I the volume works and has worked for a long time)

It’s was originally set to 0, so there was no change. I’m going to video my wiring and post it up

For flames you have to enable
Settings>wmi> DTML WMI input. Appreantly it was mislabled in the firmware it says it on the update page thats how i shoot flames and when u disable it no flames.
Also set correct rpm in menu 8 on cluster jb4 settings

Is the anti bog fix under FUD enabled by any chance?
Did some testing today and found that disables the two step function.

That was definitely the problem, so many hours spent on the wiring checks.
So in the picture green disables it.
If red is active you have to use the volume stitch at a stop, if you turn that off it 2 steps always

From what I understand, the JB4 actively shields the clutch signal when the bog fix is enabled. Since the clutch signal is one of the 2 step triggers and the bog fix messes with that signal, it messes with the whole 2 step system.
Blocking antilag on brake being enabled or not will not affect the 2 step operation. It only applies to the antilag system.
Remember;
Anti-lag = retards timing
2 step/NLS = cuts ignition
The DTML WMI input being enabled will integrate the two, meaning if the anti-lag is activated it will also activate ignition cut in certain situations and if 2 step is on, it will also turn on anti-lag by retarding timing.
For reference:
2 step system triggers
- clutch signal (must be on)
- gas pedal signal (must be 100%)
- vehicle speed (0 = 2 step, >0 = NLS)
Antilag triggers
- gas pedal signal (must be 100%)
- brake pedal signal (must be on) OR volume down signal (must be on)
