Hello guys and girls, so I’m currently almost FBO on stock turbos with JB4... I have a 5 inch FMIC but want a 7.5 stepped FMIC but was wondering if a 7.5 is kinda over kill for Stock turbos...
What do you guys think??

It’s not over kill. I run the VRSF 7.5” Race on stock turbos and it’s amazing. Go with the BMS or VRSF 7.5” Race.

I was thinking the same thing and you also have to take into account the pressure drop since they are still stock and not upgraded turbos. I'm looking at the CSF Race 5"stepped. Will be doing a before and after comparison from stock.

I have a 5 inch stepped and IAT barely moves with stock turbos. Unless you live in a hot climate or track the car it is probably fine. That said if you didn't already have the 5 I would prob say the 7.5, as the step up doesn't cost that much more.
If you have a log we can see what your particular car looks like.

I’ve been taking everything into consideration, even though I’m on stock turbos right now I plan on going to stage 2 turbos anyways. I feel as if the move for the future might be the 7.5.

If welds and fins are ugly then it’s going to be returned and I’ll pick that one up. My only question is last time I tried to order something off BMS it said since I’m in CA they can’t. 👎🏻

Hey thanks for the reply, I currently live in CA so the weather isn’t that bad lol. During the summer the outside temps can get up there, but I was thinking the 7.5 maybe for the long run. I’m going to put these injectors in and throw my 5” FMIC back on and I’ll toss and log on here for you.

There is no noticeable pressure drop with the 7.5” Race on stock turbos.

Hey what’s up guys, so after 3 days of dealing with the FMIC it’s finally in. I would never ever tell anybody to get the ARM 1k FMIC. The welds are “ok” the FMIC had some bad burs inside the FMIC, all the couplers I got were dirty as if they were sitting on a shelf outside... ARM also doesn’t have ANY intrustuctinos for the 1k only for the 5”... it’s pretty straight forward process but sometimes I’d like to double check things. My biggest problem is that they only sent me 5 hose clamps when I needed 6. I had a ARM charge pipe with a coupler and clamps that was provided when installed back then. But the problem is that the new coupler is thicker than the old one. So I had to wait till the next day and go to autozone and buy another clamp. To anybody that sees this post, stuck with CSF or VRSF.
