Default BMS Stage 1 Stock Power - 10-03-2019, 07:09 AM

Hi folks,

It's my first post here, and I did not find any similar problem here.

I've been rocking a BMS Stage 1 on my N20 F30 (320i xDrive) for a while, no problems and I loved it. Recently I've been feeling a bit underwhelmed by the performance, so I hooked up an OBD2 scanner in action to check boost and calculated power and found out that my car puts out stock numbers. 7 PSI max boost and 183 HP/230 lbs-ft.

What could cause this loss of power ?
Is there any way I could troubleshoot the issue ?

Thanks !

The car does not know it has added boost, so that will not show up on the OBD 2 port. It's supposed to think it's stock.

Best way is to get a log or go on a dyno.

Thanks Payam for the info. I guess I got used to the power ! Itís time for a JB4...
Out of curiosity, is there any way to compute the actual boost based on OBD2 data logs ?

Not really the boost data from the OBDII won't be accurate and you can't really assume how much boost the JB4 is adding.

Coding in Sport+ and driving with the shifter to the left (if you are not doing so already) will give you added performance.
