It was doing it on stock coils so I upgraded recently as my last resort. Iíve tried bb flash after a custom tune and still misfiring. Even on map 1 with or without meth. So yes on lower boost it still does it. Logs are fine according to trebila.

Hey all,

I just flashed the IKM0S ROM from the 1M to my 135i.

I then flashed the IKM0S BEF that's included in the BEF pack. (you have to change 2 bits so that it runs on the 135i with the 1M ROM).

The car drives awesome, throttle response is like a cable throttle now.

However, now I'm running IKM0S, I'm having trouble getting the JB4 to log IGN on 6 cylinders.

All I can find is, set 6 cyl logging to:
4 for I8A0S
5 for IJE0S

What do I use for IKM0S?

Thanks,
Tim

This is brilliant.
What ROM were you before the flash.
And what bits did you have to change.

Care to share the process of the ROM update?

I am on IJE0S at the moment. 335i N54 DCT.

If you're MSD81, then it's actually super easy. If you're MSD80 you will need to change the DME over.

Use WINKFP to flash the 1M Rom to your DME. Edit the IKM0S BEF using the XDF definitions in the e90post link. Then use MHD to flash your modified IKM0S

BEWARE: You cannot use an MHD OTS tune, only JB4 BEF. You can also use your custom tune but you'll have to port it over to IKM0S, or your tuner can do it for you.

Well worth the effort in my opinion, it's a free mod for most of us who already have the tools!

I don't see why you'd want to change when you can just adjust the throttle filter map as mentioned

I have tried to search answer to my problem and how to fix it but I haven't found. Here is some log of My testrun. So the problem is overboosting after shifting. The target is 17psi but the boost is spiking to 20psi after shift. I have tried to adjust little bit "auto shift boost redux" from jb4 but no results. I have jb4 map2, bef (pump) and 3ĒDP. JB4 user adjustments are now in stock values. I think this problem started 3 weeks ago when I did mhd bef but is it possible to limit that overboost after shifting from jb4?

any real power or advantage on updating the ECU from IJE0S to IKM0S. or its just the feel that newer is better? ( no in all cases newer is better anyways ) sometimes newer is better for manufacturer and worst for tuner and modification.

Do we need to access the dash menus if we have the android mobile app?

I read the first FAQ post and description.

I have a custom BEF from a performance shop, I get a 30ff code when i try and accelerate at highway speeds to pass and the trans does not downshift to accompany the added pedal input. It will only boost to about 2psi.

Was wondering if the menu setting wasnt activated to tell the jb4 I have a bef

32/14 lagged 22 seconds for gauge sweep on cold start today. Others have noticed the same thing.

Terry I really think you should consider adding the restore defaults option back into the interface. I've seen a lot of people who upgrade from 20 series to 30 series firmware have a lot of issues, even after manually resetting the user adjustments. Same for people who buy used units. I think there may still be some bits flipped somewhere in the back end that need to be reset. Maybe also a better way to identify G4/G5, and ISO/non-ISO for people with older boards.

Below is a link showing what I'm experiencing with updating the JB4 and then adding a BEF a day later.
