This B58 engine and DME are completely different and are presenting a lot of problems that were not present in the N54 and N55. Unfortunately, we can't carry over all of our tuning knowledge directly from those platforms. So don't be surprised if we can't figure **** out.
Still working on it....it snowed here over the weekend so gonna do some more testing tommorow.
Iíll try running it with straight 93 see how it goes on my next fill up.

When he installed the 64mm turbo the car stopped overboosting, however with a DA of -1100 FT it is imposible to correctly tune a car. I am working now on another solution for it. I did refunded him his money. The issue started due to the cold weather. Even stock cars are having the same issue with this weather. Ryan is keeping the kit we will get him the new manifold and wastegate that will for sure solve the issue with the boost control.

I also thought about buying dual meth nozzles and hooking the TBI kit to that because they do atomize better than the nitrous fogger.

If customers want we can develop this and replace the current foggers in the already sold TBIs.

I would highly recommend cm nozzles instead using a nos fogger. The only nitrous company that makes good fuel foggers is nitrous outlet and wizards of nos.

After watching some videos i would deff like to swap out the NOS fogger to meth nozzle. Atomization is a lot better with meth nozzle.

Iím gonna try those settings tommorow and post some new logs.

Count me in on that. Just seems like a better approach.

Ah, didn't realize you were a 2-year expert.

I wasn't talking specifically about the bigboost kit for B58, have no knowledge/interest in them. I have the Fuel-It TBI for N54 so very familiar with how/when TBI's operate.

Just your comment that TBI wouldn't work because of IPW. Saying that shows you have a misunderstanding of the fuel system. Trims (reflection of how much fuel DME commands to injectors) will normally go down with TBI active. If not you likely have it installed wrong or adjusted poorly.

Itís more complicated on the b58. Iíve spoken to Steve from fuel it and weíre gonna need to change a few things with a backend flash or trick a few sensors on the b58 to use its fuel system for additional fuel. The car wants to maintain a certain afr and when more fuel gets dumped into it it seems as if the dmebt gets wonky from what he explained to me.

I stopped putting in e85
Now
I switched the nos fogger to dual meth nozzles.
It seems to be to much fuel. So I’m going down to 1 meth nozzle.
Also took off the d@wnpipe
The car is fighting the extra fuel.
Timing is zero out.
The trims are goin down to 9
Almost like the dme sees the extra fuel and is spraying less fuel through the injectors.

Yeah, the reason I added meth was because I didn't think TBI would be the answer on this platform. We might be able to figure out some tuning with the JB4, but it might not be as good as with meth.

This thread sure went quiet fast. Nobody is having success with the kit?

update......
its been a while, ive been making a bunch of changes and doing tons of datalogs to sort out this tbi kit. so far logs look decent I think, considering its been 30 degrees here in NY. Don't think bigboost put much thought into this kit for stock turbo, he wasn't much help tuning it.
here is some things ive learned along the way, along with some notes about the kit:

You have to cut the vacuum line on top of the intake manifold to get boost pressure for hobbs switch.

the tee I got with the kit was the wrong size, told BB, was never sent a new one, but was easy fix from local home depot

I adjusted the hobbs switch to go off at 13psi

I replaced the single nos fogger to a DO7 meth nozzle for better atomization

the stock d@wnpipe had to go back on the DME couldn't handle the extra boost surge with the aftermarket d@wnpipe, I was getting throttle closures

the car hates e85, I'm running straight 93

FF wires are not needed, makes it harder to tune

t12 firmware helped out a lot with the extra boost

here are datalogs, Map 0,1,2 are without TBi,
map 6 is with TBi
I'm able to run more boost while keeping afr down, timing seems low but its been real cold here and dme bt are high, so low timing is suspected

Your Map 6 log looks pretty bad. It's not necessarily unsafe (since your AFR is rich and stable after 5k RPM), but it just looks bad regarding Boost, DME BT, and AFR. You're getting a huge throttle closure at 3.5k RPM. I usually see this when I haven't adapted enough runs, or if I'm not running enough boost.

I would try adapting with more runs first, then if they seem safe, try running 1-2 PSI more.

You're running EWG wires, correct?

Like I said they look decent. I’m constantly making smal adjustments. I’ll post up more logs.

You didn't get you the new Tee because I'm shipping you the new vacuum line and the billet aluminum map sensor spacer to get boost reading from there.

Also just as an update we are now shipping all TBI kits with a single 7 GPH methanol injection nozzle instead of the NOS fogger. Also there is no need to cut the vacuum line now because we provide the map sensor spacer the get boost pressure from there.
