If ECU has no software the car won't run, and the JB4 won't boot up either, since they share the same activation signals as the rest of the car.

Well basically I got the alternator and battery replaced because it just randomly died. Before it completely died all the lights on the dash came on including engine power reduced & it wouldn’t go past 2k rpm while driving. After replacing it it’s starts right up but stalls at idle or in gear. It stutters then shuts off & starts right back up. Replaced plugs and coils but still didn’t do anything. Right before it stalls the engine reduced power comes on as well & my jb4 does not show signal anymore which suspects me the dme went bad. Saw a guy have the same problem but basically did his repairs backwards of mine. DME Failure, will JB4/MHD effect it? - N54Tech.com - International Turbo Racing Discussion
