Default 6AT Shifting Issue - 08-13-2020, 12:42 AM

Hey all, Iíve been having a slight issue with my trans for about 6 months now. Iíve got a FBO Pure Stage 2 135i with the 6HP Auto with xHP stage 3. Iíve been having an issue for a few months now where the car will hiccup (usually it will fail the shift and pop back into 3rd before retrying 4th again and popping back out) on the 3-4 shift only at light to no throttle input. It shifts great at wide open throttle through the rest of the gears. Another small complaint is that the shifts are pretty harsh in manual mode at low throttle input for the rest of the gears as well. I am not sure what version of the xHP Stage 3 flash is on the car as it was done by the previous owner.

I have not been able to find any other threads here or from other forums regarding this issue while off the throttle, only at WOT and I was wondering if this is a known issue or if anybody has any ideas of where I should start looking.
The transmission has been gone through and serviced by a well known SoCal performance shop (SSR Performance) in the last year. Thanks.

4-5 shift is perfect on throttle and without throttle input. Same with downshifts from 5-4. Itís only the 3-4 shift at light to no throttle thatís giving me any issues.

Not sure how to post adaptations, Iíll look into it.

I believe there are guys out there custom tuning the trans flash stuff.

Might be worth letting one of them take a look at your values & see if it’s a flaw in map
