No I don't plan to upgrade my transmission. If/when it starts to act up I'll buy another one or if by then there is a reasonable AT to MT swap I may go that route.
Its not gonna last too long but good luck!

As soon as it stops shifting to 5th, start planning for your next step

So impressed! Can pure turbos explain what the difference in their turbos are compared to vargas and upgraded rbs? Not trying to start a vendor war at all but more wondering if my upgraded clipped rbs can achieve the same result? So excited to see these results! Congrats guys!

Default N54 PURE Stage 2 - 08-20-2015, 04:12 PM

More info on the N54 PURE Stage 2 Upgrade:

The test car had a boost leak when it left PURE. Dyno'd with a boost leak. Our mistake. It appears to be fixed now, though it still hasn't been pressure tested. Point is, it's spooling much faster now. The customer grabbed a couple logs this morning. Previous logs were spooling around 3800rpm. Now it's spooling around 3400rpm. See below:

In the works:
- Re-dyno the first test car (with no boost leaks)
- Install these turbos on 2x MT test cars in the next couple weeks then more dyno results

Default N54 PURE Stage 2 - 08-25-2015, 01:26 PM

We strapped the car to the dyno one more time this morning.

Reminder: This is an auto trans car, running e50 + meth, and stg1 inline LPFP!

First three runs were:

file_18 - Map3 add 70 - 601whp
file_19 - Map6 28psi to redline - 657whp
file_20 - Map6 30psi to redline - 679whp

We then bumped boost to 30.9 for a few runs, messed with duty bias a bit. Here's all the runs together:

Also, here's another log from another N54 PURE Stg2 car showing spool. AT car in 4th gear, stock inlets. Hits target at 3293 rpm. I don't want to hear another word about spool!!!

So far so good on the trans. I run 25psi on the streets with no issues. NFZ AZ is coming up in 6 weeks so we'll see after that.

Yes my car is still on E50 + 100% Meth. I had no idea this setup could make this type of power! I think it helps that my lpfp and hpfp are new.
