I agree. Im still a noob with JB4. And it would be great to have a sticky showing each item with their expected range.

I apparently like many would like to thank SteveAZ for taking the time to do that breakdown, very informative and helpful and that's what makes these communities what they are. I agree that it would be helpful for some of us if there was a sticky with what we should see on these logs. It would cut down on a lot of questions. But, anyhow thanks SteveAZ for taking the time.

As for your LPFP...you're fine right now and we can cross that bridge when we get to it. If you're HPFP isn't taking a dive...don't worry about it.

This is your log broken down for easy reading
Wow in thirty seconds of me reading this you have doubled my knowledge and tripled my understanding. Bothe Steve and Peder are both incredibly helpful on thsi board and should be recognized often and loudly!!!

Couple small timing dips at 3K and 4K. Besides that, looks pretty normal.

^what he said...but to add to that...I'm willing to bet that after you filled up again and your ethanol content dropped to 18%, you didn't reset map 5. Consequently, when you did that pull, your Avg. Ign started out pretty low and then said "WTF?" and climbed. For max power, you want high Ign. Adv #'s (above 10) and low Avg. Ign #'s (below 1.5).

If you change your blend, make sure to switch maps, even if just switching back to map 5. This will adjust your Avg. Ign. to a safe level (3.5) to relearn and reduce a little stress on the motor.

Great work SteveAZ!
Post #20 should get it's own thread and be made a sticky.

thanks for your input Steve. One more question, if i switch maps because of blend changes, do i have to gun it a few times in 3rd gear just like map 5 before the map kicks in?

Have to??....no....should...ABSOLUTELY, I go further and set the JB4 to Map 0 and shut the care off after fill up and then restart and switch to map 5 and do 3+ pulls. Overkill maybe? but I get very few codes day to day and only went in to limp once since having the JB4, that was when I did this routine and then left it in Map 0 by accident and tried to gun it with fresh e85...wooops lol...., so will keep doing it even if it does take a few extra minutes.
