Default How much money do you have into your car? - 09-18-2014, 06:19 PM

Just as the title states, how much money do you have into your car total? I am speaking about go fast parts, visual, interior/exterior etc. things that you don't need. Not maintenance or brakes/tires etc.

Brakes and tires don't count when tracking or sport racing?

Our 2008 135i is probably worth around $15k stock... Just off the cuff, with just with the parts on it currently, I'm sure we've spent more than $25k on parts.

That's crazy T. You know by the time your F80 is fbo meth etc you'll be deep into it too. It may be fast now but that car will probably be 6-700whp in the next year or so

On the 335 I was about $20k into it.. Back then a lot of parts had to be custom made, I remember getting one of the, if not the first Spearco intercoolers made for the e90/92! These days there just aren't enough performance parts for my 650 for me to spend that kind of dough but hopefully one day there will at least be an intake for it!! Is that too much to ask for?!

$3312.97 total that I've spent. Only for mods / ice (I removed the hawk HPS pads I had in here).

Previous owner had purchased:
AST5100 coilovers, vorschlag camber plates, hotchkis swaybar - $2959.
Diana S2 - $2347.

Don't have a price on what the turner drop links, turner 15mm spacers or stoptech stainless brake lines were.

So total minus the above line = $8618. I guess you could subtract the Dinan S2 since I never would have bought it and it's since been removed.

I would never say that modding my car is a smart decision. However, I drive a car that I can afford comfortably.i work hard and make smart investments with money. I don't smoke, drink, gamble or eat out much. I would say that I am very good with money. I set aside a yearly budget to spend on my car as this is my hobby. Driving a car that out performs majority of the cars on the road makes me happy. However, i know for a fact that I will not get the money back when I sell my car and I am ok with it.

Natedog we spend the money cause we have a disease, be happy you're excluded! It also may have to do with income, not trying to piss anyone off but depending on what you make and how much you love cars you set your own limits staying within your means. I see some people with nice cars and Citizen watches, I just say to each their own!

Luke, I would say you're way off, I don't do any of that to show off, I do everything so it takes my breath away when I drive it or look at it, @$%& what anyone else thinks! Same goes for the girls, only date hot chicks and you'll be straight, they're always shown off cause their hot, not because what they got on brahh! When I get out the 6 with my chick most people start contemplating suicide, that's exactly how I like to live that life!! Hahaha

Something in the neighborhood of $15k-$20k in mods plus the base price $24,700. Ps, brakes DO count when you consider upgraded brakes such as performance pads, rotors, full systems! Just sayin!!!

wow, you got a bad cop, who issues all three tickets?? Jeeze.

speaking of ****ty cops my friend just totaled his car yesterday cause someone made an illegal turn and he swerved and lost control and he broke his wrist, cop (woman) gave him a ticket for not carrying his license, my god!

My ticket was for 100mph (left radar detector home on accident) in a 70mph during road trip, cop wrote me up for 80
