The logs with a less aggressive boost add at high RPM will tell the tail. Remember you can use number between whole numbers. Your 91 pump fuel will be an ongoing limiter to more boost unless you add E85, octane booster, or go WMI.

So I decided to not go the jb1 route and just go 4 as I can pick one up used from a friend. Is it ok to just go with JB4 without any logging (no data cable or bluetooth). I would leave at the default map of +4 until I decided on either the bluetooth or data cable down the road. Its a silversport so I assume that +4 with 93 octane should be safe without logging for now.
Also, i have heard of connection issues with the bluetooth when buying used and having to have the "user" reset through BMS. Is this still the case?

You can use it on map 1, no problem without logs.

Yes, if you purchase the BT used and the previous owner did not unlink. You'll have to screenshot and email to the email requested on the screen when trying to connect.

Hey peepers... looking for opinions and to get schooled as I am a TOTAL JB4 noob...

Sooo...

2018 Q60 Sport (NOT RED SPORT) AWD w/ BBE catback and Fast Intentions LDP installed with JB4 and 94 Octane...

Is Map 7 not the best idea to constantly select? Too much stress?

I do spirited driving and some highway driving, enjoy the WOT when I get the chance...

Thanks and Cheers!

Map 7 is really meant for racing conditions, like a dragway. For daily spirited driving and your mods, Map 5 or a tapered Map 6 would work. Make sure you post some logs to ensure there's no issues with timing

Installed my Megan Y pipe on Monday. 1st Dragy run afterwards was a new PR at 4.64. No brake boost, feathered the throttle to avoid spinning and stull cut off .10 from pre-Y pipe. Did not think the Y pipe would make a difference but the car feels significantly stronger, even when I go Map 0 to commute to work it pulls much harder. Also sounds like the OG G35 exhaust note which I absolutely love. Similar t to this video, not as loud though, with turbo spooling as well of course: Infiniti G35 stock exhaust (Must Hear!!!) - YouTube

Slightest bit of rasp now though. Skipping the midpipe upgrade. BOVs next.

Question, in the settings where you can limit boost by gear, do you input the value of the total PSI you want to limit to, or just added jb4 PSI? for example, if I put a 3 in the field for first gear, will it limit boost for first gear only up to 3 PSI above stock? Or will it only allow for 3 PSI max in first gear?

Tuning has been working well. Recently on the Q50 front we've finally redesigned our intake brackets and working on our Q50 OCC solution.

How do i get the 60' down? I am AWD, i held the brake and the gas. on 3rd yellow i let off the brake. Sport mode on, traction control disabled -- though i didnt bother with the other DSC button under the dash.

Here are the videos:

12.9@109.7 2.05 60'
Against the Chevelle i let off as soon as i passed him. i thought the race was over, but it wasnt. trap speed reduced to 109
https://youtu.be/CwqYLbhlkPU

Edit: also having trouble with my JB4. My phone cant connect to it, i see it as an option but it wont accept 0000 or 1234. i did recently switch phones. My last phone though would frequently lose connection though and have to reconnect.

Hello Terry, could you analyze my data log for me.

I just got the jb4 bluetooth kit and did my first log ever. I'm a noob when it comes to what the numbers really mean.

My car is a 3.0t silver sport, on JB4 Map 5 with Fuel Wires. I'm running Canadian Chevron Octane 94 (has no ethanol in it - I'm from Canada). Outside temp was 8 degrees C (46F)

For other mods I have your BMS Intake and a Rev9 Axleback. I put the car in manual mode and did a 3rd gear pull from 2000rpm til it shifted into 4th.

Does everything look good? I'm concerned at 3000-5000 rpm my AFR is like really lean! Is my car pulling timing at any point?

Can i possibly run Map 7 or is Map 5 already too much?

Let me know!

Your ET and MPH seems a bit slow given youre an AWD on map 7. Your ET/MPH isn't tied to reaction time so you could sit after a green light and it won't impact anything other than losing the race lol. Are you sure its not going into throttle cut. I believe the stock tune will cut throttle if you try to stall it above ~2000 rpms. Do you have a log of the run?

I have been racing at local strips for 18 years now. I am pretty comfortable with how the track works and what the numbers mean. I have been browsing other peoples timeslips and i am seeing 1.7 or 1.8 60's times. Being AWD and an automatic i didnt think there was much to screw up.

I could not log it because my phone will not connect to the JB4 anymore. I can probably dig up some older logs when it was connecting, the car has never ripped through first gear. It seems to pull harder or 2nd or 3rd gear then first.

I only mention the reaction time because you mentioned the 3rd yellow and its amazing how many people don't know that RT and ET are not tied. You really need to get a log of what first gear is doing. AWD cars cut better sixty foots than RWD on this platform since most RWD guys don't put on drag radials/slicks. We have almost the same sixty foot, but my ET is about half a second less and 3 mph higher than you. Granted I have more mods, but your sixty foot should be at least a tenth or 2 better than mine.

Thats true, but a lot of people also see him destroy me out of the hole and i wanted to point out he went on yellow :-)

I found a log, now i have to figure out how to attach it. I know its apples to oranges in the sense that its not a log from the race but this car always seems lazy in first gear.

Looks like throttle cut in 1st gear to me.
