Thanks, MrSkimo

George have you guys replaced plugs on any of your cars? My buddy and I were looking at if there are aftermarket options for plugs Bc of the E85 mixture. I know the stock number is 06M905606F and seems to be universal between the 2.9 and 3.0 motors.

Have not looked at after market. On stock turbo they seem to manage fine and even on large frame there hasnt been a need to change them.

any changes needed to be made for S4/5 to RS5 on the JB4? Moving over my old JB4 to my new RS5 Sportback.

Default Moving from S5 to RS 5 - 07-24-2021, 04:16 PM

Switching from a 2018 s5 to a 2019 RS 5. Can I just move the jb4 over or do I need a new harness? Different firmware?

I swapped mine out of my 18 s4 to my 19 RS5 without issue. Same harness.

Same harness. You can move it straight over.
The TMAP on the RS5 is a bit further down the charge pipe. Rest of the sensors are in the same location.

We had a RS5 come in for some JB4 testing on our dyno. Car is fitted with Wagner Charge cooler kit which should not really be relevant on single pulls with cool down period. Due to heat compensation from ambient temps the car made quite a bit more power stock as the ECU adjusts boost up to compensate for high IAT. Tests where done at 95F. Goal of the tests was to evaluate if any of the ready maps need revisions which they don't. Regardless we managed to crack the 500whp mark on a E35 mix on map 6 and just short of 500whp on map 5.

Just picked up a b9 S4, coming from the Subaru world, I just installed a cts intake on the car, I know stock you don't need a tune, but if using a jb4 or anytune for that matter, would a custom tune be required?

Nothing custom is required, the JB4 includes 5 really good off the shelf maps for a variety of fuels and situations.

Good to hear, what map would be suitable with just a CAI?

They relate to octane.

Map 1 and 2 for 91
Map 3 for 93
Map 4 and 5 requires a E35 mix

Thanks George, so what would you suggest to use map 1 or 2 for just a CTS CAI installed on 91 octane?

I am guessing Map 3 is fine for Canadian 94 octane with the Intake install.

For 91 map 2. Map 1 is conservative.
94 map 3.
