Hi Terry. Iím coming from a JB4 on a Stinger, and wanted to make sure this was the best route. This isnít the most popular option on the Ford groups, but I really donít care. If I am getting the level of performance gains on my 19 Raptor I got on the Stinger, I will be happy.

It's just as good as the Stinger JB4 and rivals flash power without having to flash the truck! You won't be disappointed.

Default 3.5 EcoBoost misfire question - 02-18-2020, 11:35 PM

Greetings Terry and team!
First off, thanks for all the hard work you guys have put into making such a user-friendly product!! Makes me wish I would have put a box on my long-gone E61 535ix Touring M-Sport that I miss dearly!

Anyway, Iíve had my JB4 in my 2014 F150 Lariat EcoBoost for well over 7 months now, but have some weirdness going on and wanted to get your take before I go crazy. Haha. I had a wicked misfire issue that I attributed to 79k miles on original ignition coils coupled with 10k on crappy NGK spark plugs that I let the AutoZone guy talk me into because they only had 2 Motorcrafts in stock. As of last weekend Iím now on 6 new superseded coils and plugs, however Iím still experiencing a slight misfire, albeit not as frequently and not as violent. I was running on Map 3 with no issues for months and always fill up with 93. Iíve relegated myself to Map 2 until I can get this misfire resolved. Iím on firmware 8 and was previously on 6, as I didnít have any problems so I didnít check the forum when 7 came out. My questions are:
1) Whatís the best method of getting a good logging run to post my graphs? Do I need to lock out 5th and 6th gear and run the log in 4th gear as it is the closest to a 1:1 ratio in the 6R80 transmission? Or am I thinking too much in dyno terms there?
2) I am all stock aside from the JB4 right now. Do I need to adjust any settings to run Map 3? This thread has gotten a bit unwieldy and I was a little confused in looking for an answer regarding that.

Thanks for any input you might be able to provide!!

Post a general log when when you'd think the car would usually misfire on map 3 and another on map 2 where it wont.

Maybe like a 20 roll 3rd or 4th gear log till redline or so, nothing crazy.
Post the CSV file. Updating to latest firmware would be best too.
