Default Log file for review - 09-12-2018, 08:39 AM

I finally got around to logging in 3rd gear, traction off, 2000 - 7000 rpm (approx). Can you please review and give me some feedback? I'm running the JB4 on Map 5, with an MHD backend flash and a 7" HD VRSF FMIC and DCI. Stock turbos.

What fuel? LPFP looks to be struggling up top.

Enable 6cyl logging as well in your user adjustments.

OK, I see the 6-cyl Timing Logging (0-6), what value do I put in that field?

How can you tell the LPFP is struggling?

Edit: 93 Octane fuel

Thanks!

Value depends on your dme- so check which dme you have

LPFP you can tell is struggling based on the “FP_L” column in your log- up
Top it is falling into the 40s, healthy range is usually considered mid 60s- 70+. Seeing that you are also only running 93 and the value is that low, I’d assume your LPFP is pretty tired.

Depending on power goals & future plans, I’d be happy to assist you with selecting the right LPFP upgrade for your car

Default Enabled 6cyl logging - 09-14-2018, 09:59 AM

Here's another run. Ambient temp was around 85F.

Timing doesn’t look great with multiple corrections.

LPFP still struggling.

Until you address the issues, run a less aggressive map, 1

Thanks for looking, I understand about the lpfp, what would cause the timing issues?

Edit: I don’t see any timing drops until I lifted the throttle at redline. Maybe I don’t understand what I’m seeing

Look at the individual cylinders. Variances between- signify timing correction on that individual cylinder(s)

Default Ok, I see what you're talking about in the mid-range - 09-16-2018, 08:26 PM

I'm a novice on this stuff, I really appreciate the input! What I went and read about timing drops said that I either need more octane or a less aggressive program. I'm running map 5 and have the MHD background flash. I thought map 5 would compensate for the fuel I use. I'm I missing something else that could be causing it?

What would you recommend for the lpfp issues? I don't currently have any goals to go for bigger HP, I just want it to run at full potential for what I have.

Map 5 can compensate a bit, but itís not a miracle worker. I know you guys like map 5, Iíve never been a big fan. Log map 1 and see how timing looks, if itís cleaner- then you have your answer.

Shoot me an email: dave@fuel-it.com & we can get you setup for your goals
