Default Unregular intake sound . : . 340 with BMS intake - 04-23-2018, 07:46 AM

Good morning.

I've noticed that my intake's sound is unregular. Since ownership, I've only been able to reproduce the "wooshing" sound a handful of times like you can see in this video. Doesnt change a thing if its hot or cold outside since I tried to get the same stable sound during a couple handful of occasions and every time, the result is completely random.

And once I manage to make it happen once, I cant do it twice; even seconds after. Which is very odd. I know that a same intake on a same car will make a different sound based on outside temperature, but the sound should be consistent at one given time.

The sound is easier to reproduce now with the JB4, but the volume of the turbo sound is still random and the discharge sound is like the russian roulette.

Did anybody experience this? Seems like everyone is able to reproduce this sound on demand. I got a second BMS filter on hand, I tried to swap them to see if the filter could be the culprit; but couldnt see any difference between the two.

Installation has been verified umpteen times but I can send some pictures if required.

Thanks for the help.

Welcome to the B58 with no diverter valve(s). It sounds very strange and inconsistent.
