Default Need to have logs reviewed for jb4 fine tune - 04-28-2017, 10:01 AM

Getting crazy misfire in any map other than 5 when running full e85...
What is needed (gear, WOT...rpm range?) and on what map should I record the log?

Gear: 3rd
RPM: 3k - 6.8k
WOT

running full E85 - have BEF?
watch hpfp pressure (want at least 1500 psi)
watch lpfp pressure (don't let drop below 60)
watch AFR (anything above 15 is too high, 11-13 is approx range)

DON'T buy VRSF D.Ps or inlets! I have them and their fitment sucks! Running their FMIC with no issues.
HKS BOV, BMS DCI, BMS Meth Kit
JB4 w/MHD-BMS E85 Backend Flash
Custom Map 6 21.5 psi (E70 mix)
Walbro 450 LPFP - 4 Bar TMAP Sensor - Muff Delete
SAT Transmission Flash/retrofit (Thanks to Wedge!)
AD Engineering Oil thermostat - Rob Beck PCV Valve
Installed all the parts myself.

Also, does it matter what map I'm in when I record the log?

BEF is a backend flash. It mixes with the JB4 like peanut butter and jelly. AKA really good stuff.
If you are running 100% E85, you need this. Running anything over E30 without a backend flash will have some problems. For high E85, use the E85 map.
You can be in any map you want. Just start the log when pedal > 90%. Refer to rpm range.
If using map 5, make sure to do three 3rd gear pulls from 3k-6.8k, THEN log pulls from there on. Takes 3 pulls for JB4 to auto-learn/optimize in map 5.

Ah got it. My installer did add additional tuning to the car after the instal but I haven't had time to get it dialed in past that night since I only had 91 in the tank we really couldn't do much and it was late. I'm pretty sure there is a BEF in there.

I will go ahead and try and get some pulls in sooner than later so I have an idea why I'm still getting misfire.

Here's a video that'll help you learn how to properly log.

Ok yea I have the Bluetooth so I assume when recording data it will act the same as laptop.
My biggest question is... once I post up the .csv files, there will obviously be changes that need to be made. How can I adjust and create these changes? Can that be done also through the jb4 Bluetooth app?

BMS support team will offer you suggestions on what changes that will be required, if any are required at all, and they'll tell you what to do. If changes are required you can do them through the bluetooth app or via a computer and USB cable (I personally prefer this method).

This is a pretty good thread to read and learn about tuning via JB4.
