Default Mini F56 JCW B48 Datalogs still required? - 06-15-2016, 04:45 AM

Hello BMS

do you guys still need datalogs for the B48 (Mini F56 JCW AT).

I just received my Jb4 unit and as soon as the datacable arrives as well. I plan to do some proper testing. Are you guys interesstes into the log files.

Plan is to run:
Map4 (OEM) & no Hardware Mods 98 Octane Gas (SuperPlus)
Map 1 & no hardware mods with 98 Octane Gas (SuperPlus)
Optional Map 2 & no Hardware Mods & 98 Octane Gas (SuperPlus)

Map4 & 200 Cell ******** & 98 Octane Gas (SuperPlus)
Map1 & 200 cell ******** & 98 Octane Gas (SuperPlus)
Optional Map2 & 200 cell ******** & 98 Octane Gas (SuperPlus)

All Logs will be supported by PerfExpert Dynoruns. Most likely 2nd Gear from ~2000rpm to red line.

For 3rd or 4th gear tests i will need to find a closed track later.

So today I did the first runs. Since the data cable is still on its way, I just logged some 2nd and 3rd gear dynoruns with perfexpert.

With Map 0 (JB4 off) I measured
~212 HP and 320 Nm (236 ft lbs) in the second gear.
~248 HP and 355 Nm (262 ft lbs) in third gear.

The DMU is clearly chopping of torque in the lower gears

With Map 1 I measured
~241 HP and 355 Nm (262 ft lbs) in the second gear.
~276 HP and 355 Nm (291 ft lbs) in third gear.

Since PerfExpert is quite precise in measurements I don't really look at the nominal values rather the deltas are interesting.

Can't wait for the data cable

@ Terry
Do you appreciate the logs for further development or not. On the B48 side the things seem to be moving slow. I'm open to support on the development, since I look for the already mention sweet spote map with max 295 ft lbs and 300 hp.
