Ok so I am about to sound like a damned fanboy, but HOLY MOTHERFRICKEN SQUIRREL NUTS I LOVE THIS ISO!

:D

Rattle is completely GONE. Same 10/12 settings. Throttle is smoooooth. Oscillations are all but gone - I have to intentionally be rough with the throttle to upset the ride. What's more, the exhaust note is quieter, probably because the wastegates are closed more often. This allows me to turn the CANflaps back off again which I have to turn on previously because of my new *** which made everything loud as hell.

I am totally amazed and totally satisfied! GREAT JOB Terry!!!!!

I rescind my previous endorsement of 27.2 as "best firmware yet". 27.5 (with JB flash) FTW.

Updated Pump flash + 27.5 = brilliantly smooth with loads of power up top & by far best to date. Thanks for your relentless effort Terry!!

I'll update this evening (hopefully) and let everyone know how it works on a non-flashed car. To give the best picture, which map would be best to run the update on, map 2 or 5 for 93 octane only?

Non flash, probably Map 5....Terry?

EDIT:
I'm running the BMS Flash and I switched from Map 5 to Map 2 on Terry's suggestion and did not like it. Back on Map 5

For pump gas I personally prefer the fixed boost maps. 1 or 2. But many run and love map 5 on pump fuel. Try both and see what works best for your needs.

Before upgrading my ********* I ran map 5 since it seemed to give slightly better performance, though Map 1 had great consistency and feel. The shop who installed the ********* recommended Map 2, and I love the feel. Just wanted to know if Map 5 held any irresistible benefit, but I do enjoy the set it and forget it nature of Map 2.

The few times I am able to mix in E85 I always run Map 5 though, I just wish I had closer access to the stuff. To be continued when I update this evening, thanks Terry!

It reads codes from the DME. They are not removed unless you delete them (or auto clear finds them and removes them).

Updated to 27.5 this afternoon. Didn't really notice much but it does feel a little smoother driving around town.

I did have an issue though. Around block 350 my meth pump kicked in! Started spraying meth into my chargepipe. I hopped out of the car and pulled the quick connect on the red wire on the pump. The update continued, and upon connecting the pump back up, everything was normal. Obviously when i started the car it ran poorly for a minute, but a few revs burned it all off. After that everything was normal.

It may have been due to a previous error on my behalf though. On my first attempt to flash the software today, I opened the door (wasn't thinking) around 75% through the flash, turning the ignition off and losing connection to the jb4 causing an error saying there was no firmware on the jb4. I retried the flash and this is when the pump turned on. It was probably due to my own stupid fault. Just remember to sit still during flash!

Terry,

Anyway to enable Trims on the gas gauge. Like what is done for boost or IATs and so on?

Would be nice to see if we are maxing trims on the fly, allowing for monitoring E85 mixes.

Just a thought.

Just monitor AFR. If trims are an issue AFR will lean out.

The constant ninja deletes are super annoying man. There is no good active feedback from others running the same ISO in a random thread I post in the help section.

I'm not coming in here asking some dumb ass question, the new ISO 27.5 gave me a 29DC for no plausible reason so I provided feedback.

I tend to agree that sometimes the deletes are a bit heavy handed and feel outside of the spirit of the rule. I get why they are necessary but as in the example above, valuable developmental feedback about a beta software is lost to the public.

Just some candid feedback. You know we all appreciate so much what you do here and offline for us.

Somehow my posts from yesterday are deleted (regarding map 7 for Aral 102 octane)?

At the first page i see that for map 7 you need 100 octane or higher.
Since the German Aral is 102 octane i can use map 7 on my 335i with only mods JB4 G5 ISO + DCI, right? Or is +100 octane in the USA different then +100 octane in Europe??

They were deleted because support questions aren't meant for this thread... Anyway I'm pretty sure you need to change ********* as well in order to run map 7. Emailing Terry or posting in the support section is your best option.

But in my opinion, switch out the stock *** for ***** less and you get a whole different car!

Its not the same octane number for number. I don't remember the actual conversion but IIRC European 100 is equal to USA 93.
