Just so I understand correctly, it is better to run the ISO firmware. I currently have the G4 board which means I buy the G5 and request that it be ISO, meaning the prongs will be cut before shipped. Correct?

That's what most people do. It seems to pull more steady and evenly and to have more power down low. Also notice all the new firmware updates for ISO. Tells you something about where the focus is.

I think g5 iso is great but to me it's more for heavily modified cars with raw power

I'm aware the g5 iso has updated features vs intergraded
is there any way I can get some of that over boost back with the iso ?
+2 Iwish we could get that overboost back

Off topic, Ocean, what's yours RWHP? What you have done is eventually what I will have done.

Should be in the high 400s somewhere. Haven't done a dyno. Terry gets 500 with his 135, same mods. I hear 5 series are not quite that strong, not really sure.
I sort of follow the Rolls Royce tech sheet, where it says Engine HP: Adequate

Also I care more about usable power and smoothness of delivery than any peak output along a curve. If I did dyno it, I'd actually be just as interested in seeing the torque curve. That's the beauty of TT design. Massive torque on a pancake flat curve through 4k rpms. It's probably a safe assumption that I have 500 RWTQ. :-)

Thanks for your answers!

Car is FBO no meth, using map 2
Sometimes smoothness is mistaken for slowness....but if you really want to know for sure...
do a third gear pull from 2500 rpm to 6500 rpm on a level stretch of road.
Then calculate the time between 3500 and 6300 rpm. This will really tell you if any change really makes your car slower or faster.

Why are you not running Map 5?

My god iso 20 is like a miracle, it really is appalling that such horrific rattle went un-rectified so long on the iso boards. FINALLY thank you!

Yeah I will go try that during the weekend.

Map 5 gives me more rattle I don't know why lol it's the main reason why I'm not running it.

Had to drop back to 19.hex. Car really freeked out on 20.hex. 1/2 engine light, surging, sputtering, a lot of warning lights including brakes. Was really weird.

Shut the car down, restarted & the problems cleared but was not confidant enough to leave 20 in so I turned around went back home & reloaded 19. No chance to run a log because it went down about a block from the house. Map 5 fuel 50/50% 93/100.

Finally loaded 20B. Skipped 19. This hex is amazing!! My car is boosting much earlier... apparently i had a ton of lag. Rattle seems gone too but the driveability is far more prevalent.

Love it!

Nope. I just pulled the hex off the usual first post as an attachment to it. Thought it was released to the public? Has it been pulled back?

Any and all rattle discussion is in the support section. I even have 20D to post there shortly.
