Default Turbosmart Race Port Bov - 06-23-2015, 02:19 PM

This is probably a long shot, but has anyone tried the turbosmart race port blow off valve? Just wondering how it compares to others on the market. From the few threads and vids that mention it or have content on it, its slightly louder than a tial q bov.

Looks really nice actually. May go that route instead of Forge DVs.

We are TS distributors now, I got one for our N54, and Mustang Ecoboost projects. Should have them on in the next week. I will report back as to how I like it compared to the Tial

@VargasTurboTech any updates on this? Have you put any on your shop cars yet? This seems to be an affordable alternative to a ****ty sounding HKS or the dull tial.

Have had them on both for a long time now. I like everything about them from the sound to the vent better than the Tial. I wouldn't go back.

Yea? Actually audible and sounds pretty good? Definitely don't want a new bov that is less audible/sounds worse then VTA stock dvs. If it's not dumping boost correctly, I want to hear it, plus who doesn't like a turbo car making some cool noises?

Hey guys, just got the TS race port BOV installed and I'm getting some flutter. Has anyone had to do the 1/4" nipple mod with this BOV? Also wondering if I should get a new spring. It seems to hold boost fine but will flutter under low boost shifts, ie 1st to 2nd just normal driving. Any help appreciated

Get yourself an orange spring for your bov.

thanks!I ended up ordering the turbosmart race port spring kit

BOV Race Port Spring kit - Turbosmart

-I think what I need is included in there, although I couldnt find specifically what spring ratings were included... I think its orange purple and red?

the doc below shows the universal race port spring is 17 in hg and the orange you mentioned is much lower, which is the direction I need to go.

side note- looks like you can also run springs in parallel, with inner/outer configuration. news to me

orange purple and pink is what came in the spring kit i bought. I used to run orange but then swapped it out for pink after i installed the vtt external catch can kit. Was getting some noises. The pink spring cured it. Point being that not everyones cars and mods and health of the engine are equal. Test each combo to find which one work for you. I love the raceport. No flash or obnoxious noise. Just pure function!

Cool. I'm running same right now, I think the orange is too light. However, I still get a little flutter on light throttle. Did you do the 1/4" nipple upgrade? Or are you running stock nipple on the intake? Thx
