Can these turbo's be added and still use strictly the JB4? Since this site is predominantly JB1/4, forcing an Ecutek tune to swap turbo's is less advantageous.

It's a shame Visconti did the tuning but turbos look really promising!

For larger turbos a flash is going to be required. But, the JB4 can still be used for on the fly map changes and fine tuning. While EcuTek is the only game in town right now for flashing another cheaper option is under testing.

I assume you're referring to Up Rev? Almost bought them until they had their whole "it only works for this exact year and VIN number" debacle. That pushed me to buy the JB4 instead. I much rather would have had control of my own changes in the tune....but the Ecutek price is a bit ridiculous compared to other platforms....and having the ability to remove JB4 with no changes of the flash tune has its advantages

Still keep your warranty too, that's the best part IMO

It would be nice if Pure would also comment on why they're charging ~2x the price of the R/T turbo upgrade that made within 50whp on 2 less psi.

Completely agree. But when it comes to larger turbos certain changes are required to get the most out of them that can only be made on the flashing side. We can get you running better than stock on these with JB4 only but to get the most out of them you'd want a good flash and then the JB4 on top for fine tuning and features.

As to the flash options out there it's early days but I see things are in the works. So fingers crossed it meets our JB4 back end flash map needs.

It's like anything. There is a price they are willing to sell them at, a price people are willing to pay, and those two things don't always line up. If no one buys them or sees the value in what they bring to the table they won't sell many and will need to evaluate it.

Agree on both posts. I assumed the fuel trims would only get you so far on this platform just didn't know where the limit was. Being able to adjust AFR would likely allow you to fudge it with the bigger turbos but it's not the right way to do it.

Hi Terry, I hope all is well! Any update on the alternative flash tune mentioned here? Thanks in advance.
